Steering Animation

Does the steering animation affect the actual steering angle of the car?

My steering wheel is a bit old, and only has 240-270 degrees of rotation, so if i set the steering animation to custom and my steering angle to 240, is that just a visual effect?

 

That´s only visual.
Set it in the car setup menu to 240.

Does the game animation actually go beyond 180 in either direction? My wheel and inputs always match as expected beyond that, but the animation always just stops at that mark.

It's not really an issue, and is just mildly distracting at times in VR.

 

360 degrees is the maximum angle for a wheel+hands animation. If you need more angle, then the only option is to turn off hands.

 

My only issue is the cockpit steering animations do not match my inputs when I watch replay.

 

This could be due to the fact that you usually don't make any inputs while watching a replay...

 

I do not think you get what I mean. The steering animations are wrong on my replays and do not match the inputs I made racing.

Yes. Steering animation at video settings to match setup. I guess its settings I need to look at but nothing big.

 

I checked, but my replay animation matches the real rotation.

 

My arms criss cross on a few turns it looks ugly on replay. I will check my settings and experiment more, thanks.
