    Hi,

I cannot start my game because it always come back to 1024 x768 in the "graphics_options.xml" file. Even if I change the value on the file, it returns...

In this resolution I can't even click on preferences inside the game.

Do you know how to solve this?

Which refresh rate does your monitor run on and which are you trying to use in RR?
I think there's a known issue with refresh rates other than 60 Hz, but that only affects certain combinations of settings.
What you could try is switching to windowed mode instead of fullscreen.

If that doesn't help, report back here please and provide as much relevant info as possible, like the resolution and rate of your monitor, your PCs specs, stuff like that.

My monitor is 60hz and I always set to it, but I like to play windowed..
The real problem is, from a few days, it is always losing my settings. I Think it could be the W10 anniversary update...
Do you know wich line Io have to change to switch to windowed mode?

If I delete the SimBin folder on My Documents\My Games, the game works again, but I lose all my settings...
I figured out now that I can delete only the xml files (not the inside folders) and get the same results...

    Hi Pepeu,

Does it revert after changing it and applying in options in menus?

1024x768 is our "safe" resolution the game falls back onto if it fails to run on the set resolution, aspect ratio or refresh rate. If it fails to detect the actual resolution it might be due to the refresh rate.

We noticed some problems with refresh rates since Windows 10 started. For some reason in Windows 10 there is a bit of system-side confusion between 59hz and 60hz and you might have to set yours to 59hz in graphics_options.xml.
