I have been running Raceroom in Vr from the beginning without significant issues until a couple of weeks ago. Now when I launch into a race my Vive shuts off and my monitor goes blank. I can hear the game running, but the only way to reset from this point is to reboot the PC. I thought my GTX 1080 was going bad, but I put another one to find the same issue. I am not having this problem with other sims. I switched my Vive usb from a 3.0 to 2.0 port-- no difference. I am launching with -vr 2.0
hm, sounds like a similar problem a few people wrote already... does your vive really shuts off or is the picture just black? If it is just black, it might be a problem with the position of the menu. It is shown on a position out of your view. If you have assigned a button to reset the VR-View-Position, press that button as soon as you hear the music. Another solution could be, to look all around...
The headset powers off and the monitor loses a signal-- both at the same time. No key I press seems to make any difference.
