Why can Nigel Mansell play in Brands Hatch GP? I was surprised to see that RaceRoom had this circuit 5 years ago and now is only the Indy version ... By the way, the FOV in this video is horrible, it seems that the circuit is "stretched"
A few musings on this... -It's clearly not a difficult licence to obtain from MSV given that Brands Hatch GP features in pretty much every sim these days. If Reiza can licence this track anyone can. - Half the track is already in the game, including all the complicated grandstands, buildings and track furniture. The missing part of the track is all woodland. Surely not a huge undertaking to add the GP layout? - Most players will expect the GP layout to be a free addition to the game given that the Indy circuit is sold at full price. Is this the problem? Adding the missing part of the circuit would be a project with little financial return?
Okay, but why do not they get the GP version now? It is a very fun circuit, when I bought this circuit I thought the GP version would surely come
The fov is terrible because the universe is warping in shock and horror due to Mansell not rocking a 'stache. Balrog is correct that it's Formula Raceroom from Race 07. And yeah, Brands GP would be awesome, hopefully it'll happen one day.
Been waiting for Brands Hatch GP, it is one of my favorite tracks in other games. Will we ever get it?
I think SimBin got the GP track with the WTCC licence back then, Brands Hatch was part of the calendar until 2010.
And Brands hatch Indy layout here in R3E came about because DTM raced there in 2013. Who knows, hopefully the WTCC goes back to race the full GP circuit one day.
Exactly, it seems silly to have to go a category running on that circuit to have it in the game. The majority of simulators have this circuit and also to Sector 3 would not cost so much to do since they have much of the circuit done Sorry for the English, google
Like it already has been said, they would need to pay additional licensing fees and they wouldn't even be able to sell the GP version since basically everyone already owns Brands Hatch Indy anyway.
If Raceroom would go and get a "license-pack" for all MSV-Tracks, they could get a ROI with the other 4 Tracks and would give something for the loyal users with the "free" Brands Hatch-"Addon". If you go in free flight mode in Brands Hatch and fly very high you can already see, that some basic work was already done to the GP-Part of the Track.
i suppose it depends on how hard MSV wish to squeeze Racerooms balls and at this point whether they find it pleasurable or painfull ... there are many tracks we would like and love to have as end users but at the same time we have to remember that we dont have the end game in front of us and if that or another track fits the program that the big bosses have in mind ... you never know it may actually already be signed for and is just on the list of tracks todo and is at the end of that list Andi
