I play with defaut parameters (amateur mode), and my mc laren mp4 top speed is only 270km/h. I think there is a problem, because others "shîtty cars" are faster.
333 km/h is the top speed McLaren claims for the road going version with about 600 hp. Because of BoP in GT3 class the GT3 version is most probably restricted in power (to about 500 hp according to this). And furthermore a GT3 car has wings and other aerodynamical stuff that improves downforce but also adds to drag.
no.. the road version of the mp4-12c has 330kmh topspeed. not the gt3 version. you're confusing something. GT3 spec cars have a BoP (Balance of Performance) and are homologated by the FIA.. and the GT3 cars have locked gear ratios due to the specific FIA rules. And they have less horsepower due to the BoP.
Not to forget the transmission setup of a race car. It's of little use to have the car reach such high speeds when you (almost) never reach them in a race. The trade-off is acceleration vs top speed, and on most tracks it's much more important to be able to exit a corner faster than to reach 300+ kph.
Most GT3 cars have fixed gear ratios also when homologation happens, so yeah. Plus on top of that, it seems entirely realistic, their F1 cars don't go much faster than 270km/h also nowadays
