That's interesting. The R8 is running into the limiter on Döttinger Höhe and is missing about 10 km/h compared to for example the M6. That's quite a lot, taking the length of this straight into consideration. On the other hand, acceleration is very good due to the short gears.
If the given Information from that site is correct it was and now is partial wrong. The BMW should have Front: Brake Disc Rear: Brake Disc with ABS So with 100% Brake pressure and Bias all to the front, it should lock up the front tires no? The Audi, if the given Information from that site is correct, has no ABS at all and yet it is active.
I think I read/heard somehwere that the devs of S3 added ABS to be available on all cars (even if they do not have ABS in real life). So a larger community base of all skil levels can also entertain this great sim. I will also check this once I'm in my simrig upstairs. PS feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Then I can blame my old grey brains not to function that well anymore. Edit: thanks @OtterNas3: confirmation my brains still work. Feel good moment on a Saturday morning.
Correct, you can enable "Artifical ABS" to cars that not have a "Factory ABS" But now for the DTM92 Cars it says there is "Factory ABS" which seems, and as i remember from the good old Days, is not correct. It is not a big deal, if you like to drive without ABS, you just turn it off. But as the game now gives penalties for turning on that "Artifical ABS" for cars without ABS, this is, in my opinion at least, a very important factor.
I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you (like the rest.. ) Seriously though it's more complicated than that; we went through lots of iterations of tweaks, trying different things like adding weight, taking away horsepower, changing ride heights until we were hitting times we aimed for. So, without spending quite some time comparing before & after I couldn't tell you the exact numbers.
Let's keep the details of the BOP silent for a few weeks if you don't mind. I want to avoid placebo and that everyone just decides by looking at numbers which one should now be the quickest and only drive that one... Better let everyone discover for themselves for a while and that will give a better idea of the actual BOP effects.
To my mind "everyone discovered for themself for a while" enough when the content was released. I asumme, for the Release you have designed and also tested the cars performance according to your aims. Now, after a while of usage for some reasons (we dont know) you decided to change something (we also dont know). Why is it kept like a secret? There is no reason for. What will change after "a few weeks"? Nothing..;-) Within a patch, at least I (as a customer) would expect Information about which Cars has been changed and with which aims. Would be great to hear more Information about it.
The GT3 class has seen several revisions since the release of the first GT3 cars, either because the physics were updated or because one or more cars were added, which made it necessary to adapt the BOP. The reasons for that have always been communicated very clearly. In this case there were some issues with a couple of cars, which were fixed (also communicated, see page 1 (Audi R8 LMS - Improved behaviour when biting curbs, BMW M6 GT3 - Improved corner entry behaviour)) and those fixes made it necessary to adapt the BOP again.
Tanks.. What about the wtcr-cars? Nothing is communicated clearly about them...infact Nothing. Btw. Dont be afraid of any Placebo..Cars dont make the difference, drivers make the difference.
