Definitely hooked up after the latest patch update. Dare i say that the ffb is very close to RF2... Still discovering the replay highlights and cameras. (Never mind the mistakes) [4K] Audi R8 LMS EVO | ACC
And that is not a good thing, the ffb after the 1.2 update is as numb and floaty as rf2 on the front end and has ruined it for many.
As rF2, now RRE and lately ACC all go in the same direction more or less, guess that's what a "correct" FFB should feel like (instead of a high-end rumble pad we might got used to once )
Jimmy Broadbent was sent a new wheel ( Simucube 2 pro ) he was trying it out playing ACC. I think he had more live viewers at one point than the game has had at an all time peak on steam. Or pretty close to it over 4000, at one point.
Aristoteles did another Dev Stream: We talk about alignment, electronic controls (TC1, TC2, ABS, ECU etc), handling VS grip and more! In my stream I demonstrated some of the alignment settings in the great real time web app calculators of https://www.racingaspirations.com My go to website for fast visualisation of my suspension geometry ideas and testings. Highly recommended bookmark!
Aris Dev Stream 3: "So, if you want to learn how to create a custom setup for you, enjoy my latest 3 hours stream! As usual in the following days I'll make and publish shorter edits of specific arguments in my TL;DW playlist." "We'll use 2 practice sessions of a sprint race weekend, with limited set of tyres and we'll try to create a custom setups that suits our driving style, focusing on mechanical grip and control of the aero platform."
Always liked Aris' openness, responsiveness and his enthusiasm. I think it's a good example of working well with the community.
2+ and 3+ hours streams are too long, I'm sorry. As much as I like Aris and appreciate his enthusiasm and effort, I have no intention to watch this all. The info needs a big push for more compression. 1 hour, something like that is the limit for me.
Just visit his YT channel... He makes shorter videos with the important bits from every live stream...
I watched it in 4 or 5 pieces. And its really worth. I did not understand every setting but from which i got, i dropped on the Ring with my Aston V8 from 1:56.8 to 1:55.6 And that was just because of this single stream. It hooked me really and showed me how interessting it is to create a really good setup in ACC. Every possible thumb up.
Aris has now broken down his long streams into smaller video segments (10-20 minutes average) that deal with individual parts of the setup process. The series is named "TL;DW - Too Long;Didn't Watch"
It's a very heavy graphics engine. ACC demands more from my system than any other sim by a pretty good margin, although it has gotten a bit better. Just turn down shadows and mirrors.
