That's the bit that pricked my ears'n'eyes, bring it on S3, enough of the teasing, you have the formula, now release the beasts for their own good and my sanity!
The Cars are completely different - IRL the DTM Mustang is closer to the Street-Car as it is based on Group A-Rules. The Mustang GTO is a pure Race-Car. That leads to a new Car-Model in R3E as the bodywork doesn't have very much to do between those two versions.
Oh my, I dropped my jaw somewhere and I couldnt find it back. They are really bringing Trans Am into the game. Are we getting one or 2 cars for that class? Like a Chevrolet Camaro or Corvette? I doubt we'll get a Mazda, Ferrari, Dodge or Pontiac, though.
Where are you getting TransAm from? My history on American GTs isn't all that, were TA running the same rules as IMSA's GTO class?
My first thought was also that it was a Trans Am Mustang. I'm not sure what the differences between Trans Am and IMSA, but I'd say it's safe bet that it's an IMSA Mustang to pair with the lonely Audi. Trans Am Mustang from the 90's, one of my favorite race cars of all time.
Just to check, you mean both the Nissan 300ZX and the 1985 Ford Mustang GTO? Looking forward to hearing your work with those, either way.
As far as I know, she SCCA Trans-Am Series and the IMSA GTO Series were very similar in the 1980s. The biggest difference were the engines of the cars. GTO = inline 4 cylinder engines, inline 5 cylinder engines or 6 cylinder V-engines, Trans-Am = a lot of 8 cylinder V-engines (more like a NASCAR Late Model road racing series)
Sorry, it should be IMSA GTO. The potential cars for this class are obtained here: http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Laguna_Seca-1989-10-15.html Are we getting more cars for that class? Or it is only a total of 3 cars, for now.
I thought the Mustang was GTO but is a V8? As I say though, no expert on this area and happy to learn.
Here's some info on the Trans Am series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Am_Series I used to watch it about 10-15 years ago and it was fantastic racing. It was recently re-born and currently tours around Murica. I've watched most of the races this year (they have at least two or three different classes that have their own races) and it's pretty dang good racing. You can watch some of the full races online here http://gotransam.com/multimedia/ (presuming there's no regional lockout for you). And here's some info on IMSA GTO. Not sure if the engine specs you're interested in are listed, but you might be able to find links in there that will take you to what you want to know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMSA_GT_Championship
