Well the flickering issue seems to have been quashed by disabling P2P but the joining lag issues are back, admittedly not a problem when racing but qualifying at the Nords is a pain in the arse, moments away from a quick time then freeze frame on apex of corner, spin out! I also have a disconnection problem (still), keep getting kicked from server, sometimes server is still running, sometimes not but yesterday I was kicked about 6 times, most annoying if times been spent qualifying etc. While I'm at it I have a digi camo door mirror in the DTM15 Beemer, no reflection, just some weird pattern. Cannot get used to the new anti cheat kerbs, having to change lines completely on certain tracks, are the leaderboards going to be reset again? as cannot believe some of the times would be possible after update or will the implementation of the new ranking system negate any need to reset? Have to end by saying how nice it is to be in the start of a race with all competitors visible and at least seeing the knob who takes you out at turn one! Still by far the most immersive Sim out there!
Why can you not make a simple offline mode to stop these errors from affecting people that simply paid a lot of money for your product and want to play single player all by themselves without having server errors that happen far too often?
RACE ROOM EXPERIENCE A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away one Day, far far away, you will get a Single Player Offline Mode, mabye... Patience you must have, my young Padawan
because at present the game would have to be re-engineered so that you have all of the info on your pc to be able to play , at present you dont ; some menus are web pages so both of those would need changing and at the same time they need to protect there assets against ripping /theft when you bought into this game you were aware that it is online only ... Andi
Dont think so; http://store.steampowered.com/app/211500/ It says Singleplayer and Multiplayer, no word about online only.
So? Not sure what you're trying to construct. It says that a broadband internet connection is a requirement, i.e. you need to have that in order to use the product. What all those other games say - and most importantly what they mean by that - has no relevance to what it means here.
Dude, whats the deal? No relevance? Broadbent internet means you need Broadbent internet for using the multiplayer features. Theres not a single word about Internet only features, thats all i was tryin to say because you guys denied that fact.
it says you need one , your assumption that it doesnt for SP is your assumption , at no point does it say you dont need a connection ... for SP sorry been down this conversation to many times Andi
Haha, nice discussion out there. Little story from me: Last Friday a friend of mine from Imst in Austria came over to test a couple of round with the TT Cup in Portimao, because he was curious how it feels on the PC. Sadly 30 Mins before he arrived here, near Munich the Interneconnection broke down, because of renovation work of the german Telekom. He would give a castle for an offline mode.
Dude, where does it say that? Who defined that? There is a list of requirements which have to be met for the game to work and one of those requirements is a broadband internet connection. The whole game is an internet only feature. No internet connection, no game, which it clearly says in the requirements list. If that means sth else on any other games requirements list then that has no relevance to what it means here.
Normally you start with free2play RaceRoom to give it a try. At least then you should realize there is an always online demand and buying any DLC at steam or tracks/cars in RR store you know this. If you bought a DLC on steam directly without ever have played RR and you are not aware of always online, you have the possibility of asking for a refund, if you don't like it. So it's your decision to keep it or to let it go. Everybody would welcome an offline option, but you cannot hide behind your cluelessness.
Hello Richard! It seems to be an issue caused by Nahimic. They recently updated to version 2.3.12. If you don't have that version try updating. If you do have that version, try downloading an older version or disabling Nahimic.
