Hello @Michal17 It appears that you are running an older version of the game. Can you please make sure of the following: - Automatic updates for the game are allowed in Steam for RaceRoom - Verify Integrity of Game files (right click the game in the Steam library -> properties -> Local Files -> verify integrity) If verification did not solve it, try and delete the executable of the game and then run the verification again. To locate the game executable, right click the game in your steam library -> properties -> local files -> browse local files. Let us know if that helped!
Instead of deleting the .exe-file I renamed it and then did a verification. That solved it although !
I tried to launch it tonight for first time in a while and I got a similar error bit number was 10013.
It's the same problem again with steam... If the update didn't loaded automatically last time, it doesn't do it this time, too. You need to do the procedure again to force the load of the Update: delete rrre.exe-File and verify Steam Cache
+1 That's basically 2 bugs in one: first our game is not updating like it should be, then Steam does nothing when verifying files unless you delete the exe. It seems weird to do that! But then it downloaded the update and everything is fine now. Thanks for the trick!
I'm having this problem but the fix you give doesn't work try several times it verifies a file is missing and will be replaced but game still comes up with a content error 20004 .
Hello, Good news as we've heard back from Steam devs and they found the issue. They will deploy a server update on Steam side on tuesday that will fix this once and for all, hopefully. Other developers ended up having the same problems and this helped them figuring out the issue. Until now the investigations had focused on users' systems and internet connections. Right now the only 100%-safe solution we have found was to completely uninstall the game and re-download from scratch. Sorry guys but there's nothing we can do apart from delaying big updates a little. After tuesday it should all be good again.
That's strange. There is no update queuing? What's your BuildID? (You can find it like this: right click on the game -> properties -> local files tab)
Yes it's unfortunately still the same behaviour. Either Steam didn't push the update @J-F Chardon mentioned or they did but it just didn't fix the issue. You still need to delete some game file and make an integrity check afterwards to trigger the update.
