@Jason Schofield I got opencomposite working again but I doubt that we’ll have better fps in VR as long as Raceroom is still on DX9.
you copy them all at x64 and then run the 64vr mode from steam or you make any changes to the start up options like -vr or -oculus
@ARCADIOS You need to run the Launcher.. Don't run RR from steam. Download the OpenComposite Launcher. Unzip it to a folder of your choosing, and run OpenComposite.exe. Click 'Switch to OpenComposite', and wait while the DLLs are downloaded. Games will now run via OpenComposite rather than SteamVR. To update OpenComposite, run OpenComposite.exe again. The text at the bottom of the window will indicate if an update is available, and if so an update button will appear. Click it and OpenComposite will be updated. https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/runtimeswitcher.php
N no! no luck. game crashed exceotion code 0xc0000005. i did what you say and then i run the rrre file from directory. the game at app configuration is at open composite. Nothing!!!
Anybody knows proper shortcut to launch 64bit R3E in OpenVR mode, like what you launch from Steam Play menu.
Make a shortcut to the steam execute and use these parameters: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 211500 -vr Be sure to remove any parameters configured in steam.
Has anyone noticed any kind of chances on clarity after the newest steamVR update? I started to notice what's wrong with my settings because the quality started to look just awful when looking to distance. And nothing was chanced on my ingame settings. The default SS setting is 1.5 isn't it? Now I just set the SS setting to 150% at steamVR settings and everything looks as good as it used to. Feels pretty weird to me but now it's again looking good... Just wondering is the -vr command on startup changed somehow or something.
It seems to honor SteamVR settings now https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/openvr-support.7109/page-67#post-193799
Okay thanks. Another question about world scale in VR. Just noticed that default scale is 0.9 so am I supposed to adjust the number to 1.0 which is closest to my IPD. Obvious question probably but still asking.
Performance related question. Combined Nordchliefe layouts that have both, part of Nurburing and Ring, like 24 hours endurance. No matter how low I drop the settings, can't get stable 90 fps. Seems like combos just pegs CPU. Ring and Nurburing separately works just fine.
I use 1.10. I couldn't figure out what was going on when I first tried Raceroom as the cars all looked huge in VR. I think that's why Iracing always seemed off to me as well. I never had issues in RF2, AC or PC2. I use Rift S and use the default IPD. I always get confused between "World Scale" and IPD.
Very interesting thread about World Scale and IPD here.. https://steamcommunity.com/app/244210/discussions/0/3020122487780040832/
Driving VLN variants with 40 GT3 cars in Single Player to check this all the time and here it is possible with 5Ghz and a 2080. But you have the choice: With time progression and without any Shadows OR No time progression and Shadows on lowest. Even with 5 Ghz.
i have big problem. my pc cant play rre from opencomposite any more. i play only via steamvr. thats not my only problem. i play without problems till this morning but now i get a picture in my vr like frame by frame, like 10 fps. even with lowest settings. all other games (rf2 - iracing - ac even acc) are ok. what should i check?
Thanks for reply. Just tried VLN and to my surprise it worked just fine (I am on OCed i9-9900K), so the issue is only 24 hours layout. Doesn't make sense, aren't they essentially identical.
An interesting new feature from NVIDIA for RTX cards (it only works with selected titles yet): https://uploadvr.com/nvidia-rtx-vrss-ces-2020/ https://uploadvr.com/how-to-enable-nvidia-vrss/
I didn't understand. Developers don't have to do anything, but it's only working in a very limited range of titles? Strange...
