It is pretty lightweight, especially if you turn off the map animation, but imho the best thing is to try it for yourselves.

Hallo, erstmal vielen Dank für dieses geniale Programm. Es ist eine absolute Bereicherung.

Seit dem letzten Update stürzt bei mir immer nach 2-3 Minuten das Programm ab. Ein erneutes Update und eine Deinstallation und Neuinstallation der aktuellen Version brachten keine Änderung.

Ich habe jetzt wieder die ältere Version installiert, diese läuft ohne Probleme.

Wissen Sie woran es liegen kann? Mehrere Freunde die ebenfalls Second Monitor nutzen, haben das gleiche Problem.

Is there some visible issue or just the log entries?

If you have issues, please upload the log file, it is the best way for me to figure out what's going on.

Weird, there is no relevant exception in the logs, I just see that the logging..stops.. Is there something in the windows event viewer? Like an "Application Crash"?
Is it MP or SP?

In the settings, there is a button that opens the log files. Just pack all the logs and upload it here.

issue solved with 9.22.1

 

i have had an issue in AMS2, multiplayer - this is a league I race in.
I'm using the two pc install of SecondMonitor - so, I'm sending the data to another PC on my LAN.
I do this because I don't need to view SM during the race, I just want to capture the data for later use.

The issue I have noticed is all of my report files are basically blank, and I'll have upwards of 20 of them.

I can upload the logs too, but I wanted to ask about this first to see if this is a known issue or if I'm doing something obviously wrong. As best as I can tell, SM is sending data to the receiving PC - it shows live telemetry from AMS2.

 

Yeah, sadly the remote functionality is quite buggy atm, it's on the to do list, but it is quite tedious to debug. But I will add the reports to to-check list when it comes to remote.

 

understood - is it expected behavior at this time when using the remote functionality to see this with the reporting?

 

not expected, remote should have the same functionality as local pc. But obviously it that is not the case atms.

 

if i can help with testing in any way - let me know. i'm happy to help and this is a great program. i'm really impressed by the work done here.

i'll have to look a bit more closely, but, i seem to remember it works just fine if its not the online race. i'll do some more testing to confirm, but, i'm thinking it works just fine in the "offline" modes of AMS2.

if it would be helpful or your preference - i could open an issue for tracking?

 

i did some quick testing - remote reports work just fine in the test day mode of AMS2. it captured my laps and the data correctly. i'll try to find time to do more simple tests.

 

You don't have to open an issue
Can you try to use it on your main rig? To see if it isn't AMS2 MP itself that breaks the reports?
You can pause the UI, to limit performance impact. The app should still gather all the data and create reports, it's just the UI will not shown the current state.
