in car, i press esc for box. Then always crash r3e. RRRE_Crash_2023_10_12_14_52_44_323.dmp What to do?
Try renaming Documents/My Games/Simbin folder to something else, the game will then run on all default settings.
Dumb question, but does this work with a HP G2. It appears most people on this thread have an oculus. The files have been put in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64 and edited as per instructions, but I get this error
Thanks FeltHat. Is there something like this that will work for the HP. I just had to replace my old Oculus rift as it died, but now the game stutters really bad
I am à Q2 user and posted my method to get opencomposite to run in RRE on this thread a while ago if memory is correct But I thought openxr could be triggered on WMD headset too Will try to find the link or maybe you should post on RRE discord there is VR section there
i did exactly that and of course it's doesnt work anymore with SteamVR I've checked the raceroom files, restored everything to its original state, deleted the savegame directory, and searched all over my PC for the .dlls that opencomposite could have installed. cleaned up .json files from open composite cleaned up the openvrpaths.vrpath, Raceroom starts in flat, but no longer in VR at all. A solution for starting Raceroom VR with steamVR? Or a solution to make it work with OpenComposite, for Pimax ^^ thanks
Hi everyone, What should I do when in VR I see small menu screen with literally like 120p (yes 120p) resolution and distortions? I run in SteamVR mode. Tried adding some parameters to Steam launch options, but didn’t help. Maybe I should try OpenXR? It so, is there a guide how to setup it in RRRE?
Yesterday I connected my Quest 3 to my pc with a link cable. Installed Opencomposite and everything worked fine. Then I installed Virtual Desktop and today I started Raceroom again - but now I got an 'failed to create libovr' error. I thought it might be an issue with VD, but then I connected with my Linkcable again and still get the error. I tried both dll's on this page: https://gitlab.com/TheIronWolfModding/OpenOVR/blob/master/README.md (the 'older' DLL links are broken on that page). If anyone has an idea how I can fix this..
since I had posted on this thread bout how to run openxr on my Meta headset, I have moved from a Q2 to a Pico N3L I am actually running RRE on the vanilla openvr dll now so I would need to do the opencomposite install again and test with my Q2 to see if I am getting the same error. have you tried this dll instead? https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR/-/tree/openxr
bought a 4080SUPER GPU last week so trying all my Simracing VR titles again and coming back to RRE after a long long time. good news because I dont have to use the opencompoiste dll file set-up anymore, I just launched the plan vanilla steamvr 64bit and it fired up the Game in VR as intended. it was a butter smooth 90fps experience so I cranked up the Graphics to High everywhere and the 4080S maintained the 90fps with 20cars visible this Game actually looks good in VR for what's a DIRECTX9 title honestly it would be amazing in VR if we could get rain and night
I just came back to RRRE after a very long time. I have enjoyed the VR with RIft 2 Reverb G2 Pimax 8KX and now I recently bought the Crystal. My problem is I am finding it no longer runs efficiently as it used to in VR, I am getting alot of stutters and image quality is poor. Was there any changes or new command line parameters that are applicable now ? It used to run so well and now my PC is more powerful than I previously ran with. I am on an AMD 7800X3D cpu and 7900XTX Gpu with 32gb DDR5 Ram. AC & AMS2 run really well so it seems odd that RRRE is sluggish now.
VR performance can be such a rabbit hole I have the opposite experience as i mentioned in my post I hope you get it sorted quick because RRE can be actually very good in VR indeed
Thanks and yeah I agree on that. I have to turn resolution in steam down very low and still on some tracks / cars there is low fps. It was never like that for me in the past. Not sure why but I did like the feel of the racing however I probably will go back to ams2 and ac as they just work really well with max settings and high framerate. It is a shame as I really do like the racing in R3E.
