After watching the following video i started thinking - Why isn't the Viper in more sims? The Viper has been competitive in Tudor and you wouldn't think Dodge is an expensive license or is it?
I would like the 5-speed gearbox back in the touring classics BMW E30. The way it is now, it's practically identical to the DTM 92 version. With a 5-speed gearbox it'll have a little more personality.
Either of these, please. First rally I ever went to in 1973 I think, had a Stratos running first on the road. It went off the stage at the corner we were standing at and came to rest blocking half the road and unable to move due to a broken diff' that had locked the back wheels solid. Next car through was a works Escort driven by Ari Vatanen. He went past the stricken Lancia missing it by inches with two wheels in the ditch at the side of the road and two wheels on the road. He never lifted off for a second. So at the age of seven Ari Vatanen became my "hero" and still is today. A tarmac spec Gp4 Stratos has to be one of the coolest looking cars ever made, especially with those big yellow wheels. As for the 037, well it's hard to put into words. The ultimate GpB/4 rally car before Audi fucked it all up with 4wd. It's just so good that it's lickable.
Looking at this vid is great. Those boys showing still the fire and passion of pure racers 33 years after. If I imagine me in 33 years sitting behind my simwheel and bashing some actual gtr2 or gtr3 in r3e (hope it's still there in 33 years and me as well) I can see a wide grin in my face. Maybe I need a wheelchair for docking! The cars are absolutely iconic. Aerodynamics? Yes! Pure power, fat tires and a lots of courage and skill made them fast. Oh good old times! Please s3, do your best!
Jim Richards is my personal hero. In his late 60's he still racing today in the cars he wanted to race in when he was a boy. ('touring car masters' category (look on youtube fantastic to watch)).
There are pilots, being outstanding. They rise above everything and it seems, they're always doing the right things. To me it's Walter Röhrl. They're awesome!
I didnt know Walter Röhrl flew planes. (dont use the term 'pilot' use 'driver') ha, born the same year as jimmy apparently 1947 produced the best drivers.
ok, in german pilot sometimes is used as racedriver, but good to know, thanks, I won't make a fool out of me any more But Niki Lauda is a pilot as well! EDIT: Hmm.. Walter taking off
This may be the least exciting, most yawn-inducing car in the game "DiRT Rally." Maybe it's better on tarmac...
Thank you so much for sharing that. I have this vision in my head of the last young man in the shot. Not being a big motorsport fan or anything, maybe he's there casually, seeing Walter, or whoever, blasting past in that Audi... Much faster than he knew it was possible to fly down an actual street. "Holy hell, what did I just see?" Absolutely beautiful.
The formula Vee is the content I have used the most in SCE, a really fun car! So apart from classic content this is probably the car I'm looking forward to the most. Really hope to see two fantasy classic formulas from you guys at S3S in the future!
