Pass the parcel, musical chairs and tig, but tig is starting to hurt my old bones now, I cant move as fast as i used to!
Obviously, everybody is entitled to his opinion. I don't see any of these as being more or less a sim. They all three have their strong points and weaknesses. Combine the strong points into one game (sim) and you will have the best available.
Automobilista, but I haven't spent too much time in it. Other than that, I still play F1 Championship Edition on PS3 a lot and SuperStars V8 Next Challenge
Been replaying the first STALKER game with a fairly new mod, Autumn Aurora 2.1. Very little changed in the actual storyline, mostly cosmetic, atmospheric stuff, equipment and mechanics. Really good stuff IMO. Always loved these games, the first one being maybe one of the last great FPS games. Much like rF and GTR2 it still has a large cult following and modding.
BF series (2,3,4), Silent Hunter 3, Arma series, and...come on I have 2 Steam accounts, one for fps and racing and another one for gdr and adventure games...I need a life...
The more I play iRacing the less I play anything else. Today I uninstalled AC and RF2 as there were so many things were just not up to scratch. I tried to spend some time on RRE tonight as we are in week 13 'break' mode in IR but got so fed up...the lack of damage model, no tyre pressures, no dynamic tracks, every car having immense grip, floating ffb....I sadly suspect my time with RRE is coming to an end. Heck IR even has custom skin support... I used to think that iRacing was 'over rated' before I invested time into it...now I'm convinced from first hand experience (approx 800 laps in 10 days now) that it really is light years ahead of anything else out there...
Best game (series) ever, unparalleled balance and immersion plus open-world gameplay that's actually worthy of the name. Иди ко мне...
Also, check out Call of Chernobyl if you haven't. Massive mod for CoP that combines all the maps from the three games in one open world. Also allows you to roleplay as each of the factions, including the Monolith. Very stable mod as well, really cool stuff.
After so many years and at least 6 complete playthroughs of each title, I still find myself checking moddb once a month. Oh and this place of course: http://www.gsc-game.com/main.php?t=community&s=forums&lang=en (Gives me some hope that it actually still exists.) So I read about COC but haven't tried it yet, mainly because I wasn't sure if I can get it to run smoothly on my system, and stable. But will definitely give it a try sometime.
