Compared to some of the comments about the Brexit vote in the "rant" thread on Racedepartment (which you'll only be able to read if you're a Premium Member, as it's within the walled "Paddock" area), I'm actually relieved at least to see the discussion about it on this forum (so far, anyway...) seems to have kept some respect and produced relatively reasoned arguments from both remain/leave sides, rather than some frankly worryingly racist (and bizarrely, homophobic) outbursts from a few members from the "leave" camp there....

Though I'm not quite sure how we got onto gun control here...

The difference is that traffic accidents are accidents, and 12 000 murders are murders.
How is incarceration for drug crimes to blame for gun murders?

So let me get this straight, every 5 years there are more people murdered in the USA than died in the Vietnam War (58,000) and that's considered an acceptable number?

And Boris now looking like he himself hadn't expected to win it.
They need to come up with a plan on how to proceed *now*? Bloody hell, maybe they should have thought about that a couple months ago? Unbelievable...

He'll keep Nige close by to make him look less stupid. Nige has gone a bit quiet today - still looking for that missing 325 million per week I expect.

It's all a bit depressing and inevitable really :(

    Hihi....sorry.
Here's my official pledge to ask Iceland to replace the UK in the EU. :p
(I know they've withdrawn their application, anyway)

Here is my very small reason for staying in EU if you're already in it and there are a lot bigger reasons too, something UK obviously didn't calculate thoroughly.... Only from my point of wiev, I buy a lot of things I need onine like many others do and often from UK since they have good service and fast deliveries and yea it is a EU country and best of it is I don't have to pay import tax that benefit us both. Many family business to big business live on this income some to add extra money to the table to survive at all. So! Lets us play with some numbers why to stay if you are already in EU and this is only one reason of the reasons, that will cause me to never buy from UK ever again for the import tax alone would make it stupid.

Let's just pick a low arbitrary number of how many I know who think the same as me, I say 10 at least.. now we do the same for those 10 and we have 111 lost customer. Now lets do that again.. and what do we got? 1111 custumers lost, now do this 10 times more and it have past milions of lost customers. Counted in that some time numbers can be smaler and some time bigger but there will be a huge loss of online customers in UK online market, mostly owned buy small to bigger family bussiness and some just to stay afloat every month..

Talk about 21th century country suicide, what happend to the leaders of the UK country...
I never knew them to be this dumb? o_O Geeee!.. I feel so sorry for all innocent this will end up hurting!
    :(

Side note: ( The leaders might rule a country, but it is the people that make the country so leaders should help/educate its people to make right choices that benefit the mass not the singularity )

On a more positive note... Who will be the next countries to join the EU?

Hasnt been discussed here, but Scotland seems keen. Primarily since they overwhelmingly voted to remain, and England has snubbed them time and again.

*England to Scotland pre-Brexit* "Dont have a referendum for Scottish independence... we gotchu fam"
*England to Scotland post-Brexit* "So, about having your back Scotland and not tanking your economy... trolololol"

England could also have just done more for the Irish Reunification than anything in the past ~100 yrs. Scotland seems like they may make haste with a referendum to leave the UK and "rejoin" the EU, while Ireland may finally get along... ahhh, all rainbows and sunshine now ;)
