Hi Just informing that i experienced a crash during an event recently which unfortunately caused me to miss the race but that isn't the reason why i'm posting now. After restarting my PC i was unable to play RaceRoom because i was prompted to install the game every time i clicked on the desktop icon and it was not in my steam library either despite the files still being present in my C: drive. I explain it in my video which i was recording while the crash happened, just forward to 15:50. It also happened to another in the race who had to install again too.
I had this happen to me last week. It's only happened the once, so I figured the chances of programmers being able to track down the cause would be slim to none (meaning no disrespect to them). I can't remember any specifics, so even less useful.
I know this might sound completely random but before they switch to steam login for the portal i had this issue if steam sharing (family share ) was enabled. It woukd not see it in my library or run. If i went to store page it would try to install and get stuck in a loop. Once i removed the family share with someone who also had r3e the problem went away
