Same thing, can`t connect to the game with error 2228. Also , after the update (31.03.15) site, shop and the leaderboards became really slow. Wasting up to 3 minutes to load 1 page.
Server overkill because of the easter sale... This happens everytime something new shows up in the store.
Similar problems here .. BTW, .. I'm not just referring to any 'additional' problems this evening, .. I'm talking about since updating on Tuesday. Since this week's update, .. I can barely logon anymore, .. Error 503s, .. and having to login a lot of the time, .. by entering my e-mail and password. Never had to do that before. Once I click Raceroom on the Orb, .. it takes 1 and a half to 3 mins while 'Waiting for Server' .. to actually get to the Main Menu. When I click on a Single Race etc, .. when the screen changes to the Race screen, .. the data windows are incomplete and missing data .. after about 10 secs or so .. the data appears. Screen updates/refreshes are painfully slow .. e.g. if you go and click on the track to select a new track, ... for a few seconds I have both screens showing, .. i.e. the Race screen and the Track selection screen are overlayed one on top of the other. After a few secs it sorts itself out. Even changing values in the options screen are slow to respond .. e.g. changing a Force Feedback value. You click on a left or right arrow, .. and the number doesn't change right away, .. it takes a few secs. Once I'm actually in-game everything is fine, .. but getting to that point is extremely frustrating, .. and, to be honest I've given up for now. Not that the game is unplayable, .. just painful to get going. When I bought R3E in October last year, .. everything was extremely quick and snappy, .. i.e. no delays in loading screens, changing tracks etc.. Starting in December, .. and with every successive update, .. it seems to be getting worse and worse. After the update on Tuesday, .. I couldn't believe how bad it was. After the Hotfix yesterday, .. it actually seems worse. Trying to login/connect this evening, .. I give up. Thought I could purchase the few remaining car and liveries that I don't have. BTW, .. I have absolutely no problems with any other Steam games that require a connection, .. nor any other game that requires a login/connection etc., .. before playing. .. I'm only experiencing problems with R3E. I really hope these connection issues are resolved soon. Regards Tom
theyre servers are choked & us repeatedly trying to get in prob isnt helping. suggest everyone try back in an hour or two.
could you sector3 make the game RUN ? as it should ? the game is completely down as well as servers , fix this or it is useless ...
everything goes to half off & suddenly its hard to get through to the servers, its not rocket science. they just arent equipped for this traffic yet, maybe today will help change that.
