If penalties are necessary to keep people from deliberately cutting the track, this is not a league I want to race with! So as far as I am concerned, NO to penalties, NO to mandatory stop (you cannot do 2 hours without a stop anyhow so where is the point having a mandatory one). Then again I could potentially see myself voting FOR a minimum time in pits. Not too long not too short, so that refueling becomes an actual element of tactics.
Guys, im sadly going to have to pull from this, Ive got overtime thats popped up that i cant turn down over two of the races, and i only race to win (impossible if im not getting any points some weeks). id rather a slot go to someone who is going to turn up (as i know how that feels, cough...) anyway best of luck to everyone,
Slow-down: no Pitstop on server: no @Slow-down: Race stewardship with investigation of incidents after the race @Pitstop: Without minimum standing time. Pit strategy is part of the game and fuel amount and consumption should be also one parameter in the choice of your car. Furthermore imagine you need/want to do a Splash&dash
I totally agree with MadCat's opinion about the league and the penalties Slow-down: no Pitstop on server: no Just an example of drive through penalties, during the test race in Spa I was pushed off the track by a fellow driver. Not only did I loose valuable time but also got penalized for it, even though I had no intention whatsoever to cut the track. Moreover, when I completed the drive through, for some reason it did not register, so I had to do it again. So, I would recommend no penalties. Slow-downs also represent many problems. It is always a concern what happens when the car reappears on the track. As for pit stop, minimum time is a good idea but only when you do longer races. We have done it at league level in longer (4 hrs) endurance races and it works perfectly. And let's not forget splash and dash as an option.
my opinion: penalties: no mandatory pit stop: no (you can't make the 2h race without pit stop but free pit stops are giving some playground for strategy) server is up for Monza, or still Spa?
My God!! The Slovakiaring Leaderboard is dominated by Porsches. http://game.raceroom.com/leaderboard/?track=2064&car_class=class-1703
There was a race in a league called Simracing United, it was a RUF cup. Kunze's time is completely unreal btw
that's a good question. is it possible to turn off penalties for only cutting the track? also if we do this, everybody has to be fair and not gain a lot of time cutting the chicanes. in Monza it can be an issue. this should be some gentleman's agreement, and if anybody sees that somebody gains time with cutting track severely and doing it several times, that one has to be punished...
My opinion at least: Pit stop: Free choice --> for tactical reasons Penalty: No --> we all know when a hotlap on the leaderboard challenge is invalid...we stick to it
