    Hey guys,
after some time of not playing the greatest racing simulation ever aka R3E I started playing it again since the last update. I am really enyoing all the improvements etc. but I have one problem as stated in my title : During offline sessions, either race, practice or whatever, I experience weird freeze frames but not really "freeze" frames, it feels like the game just resets itself a splitsecond back, its hard to describe when youre not native in english... The FFB stops working for the time aswell, really a weird feeling and not really nice when you just got in the flow during a race. I cant really figure out a regularity of the problem, it just happens randomly I guess.
Maybe someone experienced the same, I hope you guys have some suggestions!

    Greetings from Germany

I would check the Windows eventlog (in german "Ereignisanzeige") when these freezes occur. Maybe your PC is doing something in the background (updates, scans, etc.).

be good aswell if you could put your PC specs in your signature ; that way sometimes just at a glance we can give better advice

Honestly never got to change the sognature, my fault. My specs are i7 4970K at 4,4, 32GB Ram at 2400, Zotac GTX 980ti, so a fairly good system I would say, enough to cope with R3E at highest settings I thought...
And thanks Ernie I will definetly check this one! But I dont have the problem in other games, so I dont think anything in the background is the reason...

Suffered from same, I think nv control panel - settings - max pre-rendered frames=1 as well as adaptive vsync improved situation. You may want to create a profile for r3e exe. The other thing I changed recently is using a new USB async soundchip. So far was lucky. But will post if it pops up again. Maybe one could disable audio engine to narrow it down.

Both audio and graphics work from buffer queues, and on very fast PCs those will get fed quicker. But then things become adrift somehow and these pseudo resets happen. At least a theory, most people who report these issues have decent systems, and say other games run very fast.

Given I work for nvidia I am tempted to give a deeper analysis a shot if driver was culprit and settings didn't fix it. But seems wasted effort if r3e is ported to new dx engine and at work I actually don't have "normal" geforce, but rather high end quadro (our office has a professional focus so geforce boards are rare).
