It's great that you've got drivers from the respective series working with you......and you actually listen to their feedback rather than using them as marketing.
Good news but... What about fixing/completing the current stuff? Garage, fuel, flags, stats between sessions and end race, AI trajectories and aggressiveness, ffb centering forces, ghosting/warping cars, kick feature on (dedi) servers... Sorry to be a ballbuster on Monday, but again we have TONS of content. Can we get the other part of the game baked as well? Cake is becoming beautiful on the outside but it's a bit soggy when you bite it.
ADAC 2015 physics work will apply to all GT3-specs cars we have. (ADAC 13, 14, 15 and GTR3 class) We're also spending some time updating our older classes. Regarding the rest, it's mostly game client and dedicated server things that you mention. I was strictly commenting here about what the content production team is focused on. Client features and bug fixes being in the works I will not comment on that here. But the wishlist is indeed long.
Tires, fuel, pit stops... Instead of the constant flux of new content, those features should be considered the TOP priorities.
Add realistic (mechanical) damage to the list. No more continuing to drive like nothing happened after a 100km/h plus collision.
Well, I like new content and love where the sim is at currently, so keep the new stuff flowing please !
So you guys think that the constant "new stuff" is working? Think again. http://steamcharts.com/app/211500#1m
I don´t know how many times this was said already, but: working on new content is not slowing down work on new features. It is being done by completely different groups of people. We are working hard on the features we all want. I think we have made good progress in the last year and we will continue like this in the future.
New content feeds the business model so we kind of need to tacitly accept the situation. That's not to say I'm happy about the state of the core game and how it lacks many fundamental features. Content will keep the cash flowing but ultimately I think sim racers look at core features when choosing a platform to invest time in. This is where R3E is being left behind as it stands. Edit - cross posted with Georg. Totally understand your point, I think it's just some of us want basic features to be THE priority as certain things like flags, mandatory stops etc are loooong overdue.
And the main point is, this isn't the thread for that - I'm just trying to keep on track of what's been posted and what hasn't. @J-F Chardon - thanks for those confirmations, I'll add them in now. Would it be fair to add 'prototypes' or 'GTR3' to the pack list too, or is that not confirmed? I seem to remember mention of both but can't be sure.
Argentina, Morocco, de Vila Real, Motegi, Thailand or Losail, I wonder? Argentina would fit in to many years championships. Would not mind Thailand as I know nothing about, always nice to be introduced to new circuits. I hope not Morocco, it might be nice for completion of a real years championship, but it is a boring miserable circuit.
I understand completely Georg and I do know you are working hard to complete the list of things we all want. I just hoped, from time to time, to hear something like: "next patch you'll get working garage!", or "full flag rules coming!" to make an example. Announcing new content is great and keep everyone interested, but what about announcing sometimes that those features we're missing are coming up next? I'm old and senile and I don't recall reading anything about these around the forum, but I do remember reading about cars, new tracks, series... To me is important, if not more, to hear about the progress you guys are making with the core elements as well... Cheers!
In my mind it's just not as easy to predict when a gameplay feature will be ready for public as it is with content, so they tend be careful with statements regarding those. Once such news is out people expect it to be published soon™ and they are disappointed if it then has to get delayed due to some unforeseeable reasons.
