Regarding startup this might be worth checking: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/loooong-loading-time.6277/page-3#post-101403
Having very many screenshots and/or replays in their respective documents folders can slow down the startup process significantly. Explains why I never had such long launching times cause I keep those folders nice and tidy and move stuff I want to keep to a different folder.

Regarding session loading, I wouldn't consider anything above 2 minutes (Nords) normal, 10 minutes is definitely way to long. Not sure what might be causing this, don't think it's a CPU thing, net connection...also doubtful about that, I would expect it to time out if it took that long.
Did you change any visual setting before this happened (see above)?

Hmm, startup time is no problem. Deleted screenshots/replays anyway.
Session loading times still >10min. But i can deal with it. I tell myself that this is a cool new feature called "adaptive loading times" as a Motivation for getting better laptimes which will lead to better loading times. Totally believe in it :D

Time when data from your R3E on your PC goes to your place in Sector 3 server and back will be allways the same. So then, don't bother yourself with develop laptimes because of your dream. :)

I find it to be longer than other games, but not by too much after a patch that came out a year or two ago. It's no longer an annoyance for me...But I never change any settings anymore except control preset. Nordschleife is the only time I think "this takes awhile" but it is a large, detailed track.I do run an SSD.
