how about we all take the mustang around bathurst (because you cant pass at the windy bits) or monza (because its straight boring and just generally a track i never feel the erge to race at) and make James race in the beemer that at least a %10 throttle limit.

 

Well yesterday night was more of a track day on R3E US MP: me, @shardshunt, @Sean Kenney and @Richard Powell and some random guys that showed up for a race on Indianapolis and on Sonoma. Indy went nice I the beginning. I got the second position after Shards took the pole away from me for 0.089" Argh! But I regained my place thanks to a good start. Chased by Sean I struggled quite a bit for the first few laps (as always happens during the race session) but then I set my pace and after overtaking the impertinent Kenny I started to be more consistent. Funny thing I wanted to regroup at the end of the race but maybe I should have write that in the chat as I saw everyone flying away LOL. All good tho it was fun and I'm happy I set the best lap time in Race! Yay! Anything can happen when James's not there!
Sonoma... Well... I loaded this track for the very first time yesterday and...
WTF IT'S AMAZING!!
It's incredible! I couldn't believe the quality of the track and it's actual layout! Very very interesting.
The funniest thing tho it's that I stayed parked at the garage for a while and then I heard some chatter in the background that eventually was very clear. Was about two - three guys saying stuff in Italian with a very peculiar accent (from Marche, Italy it seems) saying: "Wtf, if you don't push you go nowhere! You have to push! Push!... You're no good..." ("Cazzo se non ci dai dentro... Non vai da nessuna parte! Devi darci dentro.... Mmmh non sei proprio buono!) I was lolling my ass off

 

Did I misunderstand? Yesterday was the first time you raced @ Sonoma?
That track is amazing. Also wish the game had Watkins Glen. My favorite track.

Atm S3S is battling hard against the infamous ERR500 but soon™ it'll be sent down into the bug-abyss where it came from.
In the meantime... why don't we start planning our next moves?
I like to keep the thing democratic so what would you like to run guys?
Personally I'd like a WTCC 13 Test Champ (saying Test because of some missing features: garage, stats, pits, penalties and so forth) but I'm ok with everything else that has updated physics and been ffb optimized (DTM92, G5, GTR2, ADAC).
What'd do like to run then?

PS: We can reserve 1 day a week for the Champ Test... I'd say Sat at the "usual" time (9PM CST)?
Fri and Sun appointments can be reserved for Club Races.

PS2: At the moment @MeMotS and I are willing to host ESR sessions but we still need to figure out which server holds better in terms of connection and lag

I think it's the ghost-y thing:
you're stop in the middle of the road> ghosted
you're proceeding at slow pace > ghosted
you're going the wrong way > ghosted
you're Patrick Swayze > ghosted

a couple of suggestions
can you turn mec damage off we have found at rraunz that we get closer longer races also it shouldn't matter but turn fuel off as their is no way to fill the car.

 

How about mandatory pit stops in multiplayer.
I know that WTCC don't have that, but does it work?

 

It works in ADAC and DTM 2014 but unfortunately we don't have a rule set for RRE yet so they don't work there.

 

but you can turn tire ware to x4 so its quicker if you pit

 

Hehe yes. I hear some of the communities are using fuel use multipliers to temporarily force pitting.

 

we tried that at rraunz but when I tried to pit the car didn't get fuel'd up and it was the same for everyone else. (i used the "tires" preset because there was no fuel amount adjusters in the menu but we gave up before testing the fuel preset because its to confusing for in the middle of a race to be mucking about and anyone not in the group wont realize they cant use tires.)

 

Yes I should have used past tense They tried. That's another thing we still need to add. Currently pitting doesn't refuel unfortunately.

 

also just a suggestion can we have the fuel splutter start much earlyer and go on for longer currently it only lasts >20s after the splutter starts. thanks for the info sonat
