    Who said it's canned? ... But honestly, best thing regarding the shift effect is its description :D

    On the outgoing FFB, I still feel something when I turn the shift effect off. Its usually not when going straight, and definitely there when turning. So perhaps, the effect isn't canned, but just able to be amplified?

    I mean it's quite expected to have something going on on the wheel when you change gears while cornering. That's probably the reason why automatic gearbox doesn't what to downshift when you're braking and turning - to avoid upsetting the car.
