Problem OSW No FFB

Sim-plicity SW20 V3. Same here, FFB not working after the latest patch.
Working fine on all other sims.

 

I don't think you will help the situation by using abuse.

the FF is not the only problem, there are inputlag on the axis..

 

Funny you say that Jota. I've noticed visual lag between my wheel rotation and what I've seen on screen. But with no FFB to test, I didn't want to bring up what might be nothing.

 

Bump - any word on when a fix might be out?

Concerned this is tougher than thought or we'd have a micro patch by now.

 

devs should back to old FF until find some solution, this is a disgrace

I don't think there is a hope in hell of that happening, nor should it TBH. Can't roll back something that works for the vast majority and whom are well into learning how the changes work or you have an even bigger outcry on your hands and I suspect rolling back just the affected users would be either impossible or very messy.

Status update is required though.

 

Agreed completely. A rollback is never gonna happen, and at first I assumed it would be fixed in a day, two max. At this point however I'm seeing two options.
A) Sell your wheel for a known working model. Don't see this as a realistic option though.
B) Switch to a game that works. I've been running iRacing non stop since this happened and having a blast. Would like to join my community in some races again though, so not a perfect solution either.

On a side note, I realize you guys don't own 100 wheels to test, but I find it very hard to believe that the main players wouldn't give you one of their old/test wheels for both compatibility testing as well as pre-release tuning. Or at the very least have a dozen beta testers with different wheels available. This is honestly an unbelievable situation to me.

 

I had an old belt drive wheel but I sold it as the OSW never misses a beat. No one geographically close to borrow one from but good idea none-the-less; I’ll start seeing who might be able to send me one if this drags on.

I ended up playing PCars2 at the weekend just to get a racing fix lol. But changing game when you’re the main guy setting up races for your club and Raceroom is the primary game atm, not really an option for me

Appreciate the ideas though. Better than being stuck in limbo.

 

How going to be an option to sell the wheel or change the to other sim? we gone crazy..

I spent 1500€ on my servo with 2rims after try the wheel of a friend in raceroom, I bought mine to use it here with this sim not with another..

 

I said it wasn't realistic. lol. Just throwing out the only solutions I can think of. If wheel A doesn't work with game B, then you either need to replace A or B. I almost bought a used Accuforce V2 yesterday, but just missed it.

 

And you lose all the money you spend on cars and tracks.

 

I think I will spend my money on Iracing from now on.

 

Trust me, I get it. I purchased all of the new content that was released with the non working ffb.
