2017 = checked ... hope that the premonition comes true for the new track too ... there are some great "Race On" tracks which are missing by the R3E community ... https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/community-circuit-wishlist-top-3.2369/ ... especially No. 5 and No. 10 ...
The Stream from Racedepartment is now live - starting broadcast in 6min. Watch here on twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/racedepartment
Dear Sector 3 Studios, I'd by more than happy to drive my mint condition Porsche 968 to your HQ in Lidköping and lend it to you for as long as it takes. Can we get this great Porsche in RaceRoom?
If you are referring to this one. That is @Anthony Monteil installing his sound recording device in what looks like a Porsche Cayman . DSC07146 by anthony monteil, on Flickr
Ahh it looks like Klaus Abbelen... Klaus is a realy nice guy, I meet him on the Nordschleife Thanks Georg! Good to see all the good things in Raceroom. I enjoy it in VR
A friend's dad sold meatballs with Klaus Abbelen in his garage in the 70s or so. His Abbelen factory is here. Although I think he sold it.
I wish him al the best! Hope one day they can win the 24hr .. Frikandeli Racing a small team with nice people.. Klaus and Sabine maybe a little to old.. but they have now a second team. All the best good luck!
Any news on when some more Porsches might be coming? AFAIK there are still 6 Porsches to be released, can't wait to find out which ones...
Hi S3, Under that Porsche licence, is there any plan to get their Test Track in the game. Played it on Real Racing 3 on my phone, could be a good field for good fights
Only news is from a pod cast, where it's mentioned that they plan to release 3 a year, so expect 3 more in the next 6 months but don't get too excited, they've not even decided which models yet!
@Georg Ortner mentioned there that they are up for wishes... so my wishlist for this year would be: Porsche 911 RSR 2018 Porsche 962C Porsche 911 GT1 '98
Phew hard to wish any top 3 Porsches, as I'd love to have cars supplementing existing cars rather than creating single car classes (I doubt we'll see Group C, GT1 classic or WEC/GTE) Did the Porsche 911 RSR ever meet the cars from our Touring classics on track back in the time? That'd surely be a nice addition. As well as the 934 or 935 to supplement Group 5. For a third one I am out of ideas - any Porsche is welcome (as long as it comes with more than just one livery )
I think what J-F meant back then was would it be worth getting a 935 when we already have the Fabcar and only a limited number of picks. And I agree that there's many more interesting models because we basically already have a "935". My personal #1 pick would have to be the 961. There's more reasons to get this beast than there are against it. It's an oddball, so it's a match with RR anyway. Plus, unlike many of the obvious choices, it's not in every other sim or game already. It could be fitted into either the Group 5 or GTO class, I'd say GTO would be the better choice cause then the Audi Quattro would have an AWD playmate. And it has an interesting - albeit short lived - racing history, including some good results and a tragic end.
Its actually SUPER LIKELY we get group c. Its the 2nd most voted class in the car wishlist, the raceroom phisics guy got a job at s3 because of a group c mod and the nissan r90c was already in production. Seems pretty likely to me. Probably not tomorow but i wouldn't rule it out in a near future. Some cars to compliment it would be: Porsche 962C (here it is), the Jaguar XJR-12 and the all mighty Mazda 767B. And you already have GTO so that sexy multiclass action is right on par of what s3 has been doing.
