So today i installed Race Room as looked very much my type of game however upon installation i tried to set the games res to fit my specs however if i hit the aspect ratio to be 16:9 it only comes up with the resolution 2660X1440 and will not let me move it to 1920X1080 this is frustrating as not all my games run on my machine at that res and playing in a 16:10 aspect ratio is not right for my monitor any help/offers or sollutions on the matter would be greatly appriciated

Try this. Go to My Documents/MyGames/Simbin/RaceRoom/UserData/Graphics Options

    Change these two lines
    <custom type="uint32">1920</custom>

    <custom type="uint32">1080</custom>

I guess you are using Win10? There is a Problem with the monitor-refreshrate. With 1920x1080 it doesn't recognize the refreshrate of your Screen correctly. You can try to set your Display-Settings to 59hz

try switching to window mode first, then get the right res and hz and then switch back.

so you put 'full screen' off?

Then change resolution and hz or aspect ration?

when I had the problem I just fidgeted with 'full screen' on and off to change the settings. Finally worked.

I think if you want to receive help from the community.. this tone isnt the proper one to use when the people in this thread are taking time to help you. The very least you could do is show some respect towards other users.

Especially since you are probably the only one experiencing this issue...

Besides that, your responses are like 1 sentence in length, and havent properly described the problem until halfway down this thread. It's tough to offer assistance when the person asking the question doesnt accurately describe everything going wrong, what their system specs are, etc. ;) Keep that in mind moving forward in case you have other issues.

    Anyways...

It's very odd that you cant select more resolutions. There isnt any reason for the game to not offer them to you unless something is amiss on your end. What is your desktop resolution and refresh rate set to? R3E should match that no problem. Perhaps right click on your desktop and go into the display settings to see if this is set to something else?

Perhaps posting a screenshot of the in-game display settings would be helpful so we can see the problem. There might be something simple you are overlooking. :)

    Cheers

If this was the only game i played on my system or if this was happening with every game i play then yes id acknowledge that its probably something on my end
also i dont see how it will go to the maximum res and miss out 1080p
but my desktop res for my main monitor is at 1920 x 1080p 60HZ and on my second monitor its 1920x1050 (this resolution also isnt showing in the options for the 16:10 aspect ratio)
the screenshot wont really show anything as its not a drop down menus of the resolutions which would probably be more helpful as all a screenshot would show is the 2660x1440 res and the 2 arrows either side greyed out
if there really is no fix and if it really is just my machine ill simply uninstall the game and play something else, its a FTP so im not really losing out on much

don't know if it is a rounding issue. Have no problems with this settings and shadowplay mostly says 60fps with that 60fps setup. So who's lying?

    motherboard: MSI A55M-E33 Processor: AMD A10 7700K Graphics card: AMD R7 370 4GB RAM 16GB DDR3
even if the rig i have wasnt really good enough to support the higher res settings (it totally is) it should still show them...which is where the mystery lies as iot shows the highest res possible o_O

Well at first, you should disable the window mode. Than - Somewhere in the amd crimson-settings musst be an option to set the refreshrate to 59hz. After i had changed to that i could switch to 1920x1080.
But in my case i stayed at 60hz, activated VSR in the amd-driver and selected the 2560x1440@60hz resolution downscaled to 1920x1080. I have AA set to 4x. On visual side the best you can do. runs fine on my system - specs below.

the problem isnt performance...the problem is that the 1920X1080 option isnt there
