The game is freezing and locking, it can not be continued. The only way to get out is ctrl / alt / delete and end the game. Crash dump.
hm, can you give us some of your system-specs? How many RAM do you have? Any Applications running in the Background?
I also have the same problem nowadays it's the extreme I can not sign up for any race. Still the same, accident crash crash ..
Hello Rogge. It is likely to be something in the way your PC is configured. That is the main reason to cause programs to crash, in you case a game. You mentioned Norton running in the background, that could be it, or maybe not.. Why OS are you running? If you are running a later version of Windows, 8, 10, there is no real reason to be running Norton; except to send money to Norton... Have you checked your video card drivers? Are you on Wifi? Have you tried different settings in the game? Honestly it could be a 100 and 1 issues that could be causing it, however it will be just one.. The hard part is finding it. Try the most common ones first. Let us all know how you get on, and then we can try something else.
They're being looked at if you post em here. What version of Windows are you using and is it a 64 or a 32 bit version? What gpu are you using?
There you go. I hate to say it but that's most likely causing your crashes. We've had a few reports about game crashes in 32 bit OSes and it always ended up being "running out of memory" issues. See this post and the discussion following it: https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...c-round-3-nurburgring-crash.7917/#post-115409
Ultimately the best and most trouble free sollution is to upgrade to a 64bit OS. If that is possible for you somehow I'd strongly suggest doing so. Sorry there's no better answer, but that's where it's at at the moment.
@Rogge It looks like there might be some conflicting gpu drivers causing this. Strange thing is it mentions nvidia and amd... Did you use an amd card before and then switched to nvidia or vice versa? Or are you using an amd gpu and the cpu integrated gpu together?
Had a programmer have a look at the dump file and it appears to be the nvd3dum.dll that's causing this crash. Most commonly this is caused by some faulty driver installation. He suggested to do a clean re-installation of the latest non-beta drivers downloaded directly from nvidias site. (Don't use the drivers that you can get via Windows updates.) You can find tutorials online how to do a clean gpu driver install. Good luck, if it doesn't help report back here.
an error can always happen during a driver-install so that a file gets corrupt. As a simple reinstall doesn't neseccariy override the corrupt file. So a clean-up of the Driver-Software can help in that case. The process is normally as followed: 1. Deinstall Displaydriver 2. Reboot the PC in Save-Mode - that should prevent a reinstall of the Display-Driver 3. Run a Tool to do a Driver-Clean-Up - for example here http://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru3d-driver-sweeper.html 4. Reinstall the latest Display Driver
I have reinstalled the computer to 64 bit. I have seen a virtual memory and after yesterday's testing it does not look good even one crash yet. Thanks for the advice of Christian
