Would you like to have your name in R3E as one of the AI drivers?

While racing the AI I had the idea that, instead of those fantasy names the drivers have in most classes, maybe users would be interested in having their names used in the game as one of those AI drivers.

We could run a nice little competition and the winner(s) would be immortalized as a virtual AI driver in R3E.
Any feelings? Love, hate, indifference, boredom, whatever, throw it at me and let us know if you'd like this idea.

 

I actually don't mind the fictional names that much, and would be strange to battle my self on the grid..

One other thing I have an issue with though, is the gray imageless pictures of the non licensed series drivers!
Would be more immersive and feel more engaging if there where real faces to those fictional names we are battling.
How about pictures of the developers and beta testers?
And if you are too few, take one picture as you are and one with a beard and hat on.

 

Once we have the ability to pick which AI drivers should be included in a grid that problem would be solved.

 

Not if it's on the livery I want to race against.

With my name or not, I'd love to see more mexican flags in the fictional podia. I saw one once.

 

As long as I drive a Nissan and always run at the back of the field, I'd be for fine it lol

 

Not sure how to reply to that. In an ideal world, I'd love the ability to rename and re-nationalise them.

Would be nice to have something in that silhouette box though, whether it's stock photos, user/dev photos, the drivers' helmet colours.

 

My nick here is my fantasy driver name, which I came up with back in my Forza 1 days. But my fantasy dad, Ian Fox, that would be quite a nice surprise.

 

I do wish we could come up with some of the names for the AI drivers. The first driver I'd name would be Ian Bellenis. He'd be a quick tempered driver who starts a lot of accidents.

 

Second the idea of being able to re-name the AI drivers. It would be fun to give them whatever names we want.

 

Will we have this ability? Haven't read anything about that here.

A few days ago I did a race with the gt2 on Mid Ohio against the AI and spotter a ruf in a special livery you can't get in the store. In the race results this guy was named Sidney Hoffman:-D (famous in German TV. He does a car show on TV)
I was very surprised:-D

Was it maybe the Falken livery? I don't know which name is shown for this Ruf, but as far as I know it is the only Ruf-livery you can not buy. Everybody who took part in a competition, sponsored by Falken, some months ago got this livery. If you didn't participate, you can't have it.

 

I got it without participating......

 

Do you have a screen of it?

 

Not right now, but I could get one. It always irritates me that it has a number but no plate with the number on it, so I never select it.
