The R8 LMS had always been close to my heart and I had been driving it since it was first exported in the game. It is probably one of the best cars in the game for me and it isn't a boring and sterile as the old R8 in pcars 1 as I find it a bit too stable. It is a lot snappy on the rear like the real car (at least based on videos) than the old one which made it interesting to drive. And SMS took a livery made by my brother so I tend to drive that car even more despite my brother made quite a handful of liveries for pcars 2.
You one of the Frischkorn brothers? :-D Jk. I think J. Frischkorn actually made more than a few liveries.
Nope, just another random WMD guys with siblings also being WMD members. A lot of the fictional decals are named after SMS staff but I managed to sneak my own ficitional decal (and got it approved) into the game too.
OK, i THINK i have turned off all the driving aids. Don't know what to turn off. But i have often the feeling, thar a - call it - "magic hand" pulls me back or some "god" preserves my of making a mstake that pulls me into a spin. Cant tell in words, but feels weird for me. Thats why it seldom drive it. Took a ride with my oculus last week. Graphics are realy cool, but feels strange, as i said before. We will see what PC2 brings up. The race has startet. Whats first? AMG, R8 and C7 for R3E or PC2?
I have around 9.000 km in the R8 LMS (in pCars), so it is by far my most used car. But I also have been watching the real cars go around Zolder and Spa, been to about every corner just to watch how the car behaved, watched tons of coverage on TV and I still feel the car is too loose in the sim (at least, it feels like that, whatever setup I use). I have seen Audi Customer cars at Zolder driven by amateur pilots, going pretty fast but almost never losing the back, or even going sideways. I can't manage that in the sim, not with the original car, not with the mod. It feels too twitchy, especially compared to its siblings in other sims. To be clear, I get the race results, but it is the feeling...I need to work harder in this car compared to others... Can't really put my finger on what may cause it. At first I thought it was just the physics in pCars, but I seem to have none of these issues in whatever other car I use...
Looks good, but why aren't the wipers needed ? It is snowing... not very hard, but still... (because it is still WIP obviously...) Don't know about the cockpit (seen nothing that is disturbing), but at least the mirrors are clean and free of greasy fingers...
Hehe, nothing to worry about, just nitpicky me. But sunrays through the windscreen decal? Inside of the car must be dusty as hell. ^^
When it's cold enough the snow will not melt on the windscreen and just blown away by the wind - so normally no Wipers are needed while driving when it is snowimg.
Yeah, could be the reason. But that does not happen often here in Belgian winter. We have mostly pretty moist snow...
