Just to be clear, nothing is withheld in order to annoy anyone or keep things secret. But like J-F said, this time they'd just like people to judge the BOP based on the actual on-track performance and not by looking at the figures. This will give us a better, more subjective idea about potential BOP discrepancies and help us improve. I think the same goes for WTCR, which has been adapted according to the feedback and data gathered during e-sports WTCR. Personally, I don't quite get why this is such a big deal (for you, @joe ).
Yeah.. ;-) how long I'm reading in this forum? For how long I do Sim Racing (+10years). How long do I have to be here to be allowed to ask something ? I think, the developers forum is the right place to ask about the game content. ;-)
Sorry, dont wanted to make a big deal. Just wanted normal Information from the developer about the changes he made in the game I use and have paid for. In my eyes this kind of proceeding is not reasonable, but I will not ask anymore.
Well, you can keep asking for sure, but for now I think all your questions regarding this particular topic have been answered (to the degree the developers want them to be answered at this point in time). Remember that J-F said "for a couple weeks". Once the data they want has been won, I'm sure they'll have no problem sharing more details.
All GTR2 ... New physics - believe! but old steering or bad steering wheel Default 540* = gamepad or MOMO180*
Is there a BMW M3 GT2 setup tutorial because since the update, the gearing's felt a bit weird. Not taking anything away from J-F and Georg, I'm just a novice when it comes to setups, I run the same setup at every track on games like this.
I was interested in the BoP-changes too, but the reason @J-F Chardon gave to not reveal the exact changes actually makes a lot of sense.
WTCR has been affected by the changes of turbo boost calcuation in the whole game, which already changed the performance of the cars (some more than others). In addition there were some improvements to downforce values used, based on real cars. All the BoP changes were done on top of that. So releasing a full overview of changes is misleading.
I guess what BIOSPORT meant is what i and some others noticed aswell. The settings with 540/16 feels more like 240/16 Very very twitchy and over sensitve in the middle of the wheelrange. I have tested with Fanatec CSL Elite Racing PS4 and my CSW 2.5 Also made fresh profilesfor them to test if this would resolve the issue, no luck. Even if i go crazy values like 1080/13 it is still over sensitive in the middle of the wheelrange. Feels like driving with 180/30 when i move the wheel just barely in the middle, like 15° left or right. Maybe there is a issue with transmitting the Wheel-Range/Lock values correctly to the Drivers? Can someone have a look maybe?
What means the ballast in the time table in then collumn wich you see in the MP? As far i can see these is everywhere set on 0 Or is this something for the future?
I meant his steering/ffb settings. Car setup wise I don't spend a massive amount of time on them. Gear them for the longest straight and set up the front so it turns in (usually just soften springs and arb) anything else I'll drive around the problems.
There is a setting that has been in place that when racing and will apply weight for BoP, based on success, now it is visible is what I believe you are referencing.
