Agree... After watching his dampers stream i felt like i have learned more about dampers than in all the guides and stuff i looked up online in the last 6 years when i tried to get into this topic to understand it
Too cheap for my taste, I live by the rule that stuff must cost and better stuff must cost more. But its their right to price as they want. I do not complain or criticise. I am just wondering. They always sell their stuff under value. 4 new tracks. 45 new skins. 30 new teams. 50 new drivers. Upgrading and patching to version 1.3 . 3.0 GB download
Assetto Corsa Competizione v1.3 update and Intercontinental GT Pack DLC out NOW! https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...d-intercontinental-gt-pack-dlc-out-now.62409/
I have a question for the VR experts: what are the technical differences between setting supersampling in VR software vs modifying pixel density in-game? The end result looks similar to me, but is one more benefical either performance- or lookwise than the other?
I was experimenting with the same last night. As far as I could tell 1.2xSS in the occulus tray tool and 100% in game looked (and performed) the same as 1x in the tray tool and 120% in game. I'm so torn with the game generally though. - I'm nearly at a point where I can get decent performance & visuals at 90fps with my Rift CV1 when hotlapping, but forget about adding any other cars.. After an hour or so I always give up with the constant fiddling/assessing, and just go back to RR. It might just be a game to return to in 2 years time when hardware has moved on.
Well I was getting between 60-70 fps pre-update and this morning I've peaked at 38fps, god dammit and the RR servers are down, Jeez can a man not get a break!
10-12 laps done on each track. They all are good. Damn well made, to be precise (VR). Not one track that fails. Kyalami was new to me, it is quite interesting, and tricky at one or two places. Track surfaces are more alive than their Raceroom counterparts, are more uneven in some places, keeping me on guard. AI handles the liones a bit mixed, being too slow in some places.
Was hoping maybe naively it would be free for early acess buyer like me but looking like i will have to throw another 1900JPY over here in Japan
Ridiculously good value. Four laser scanned tracks and all the new liveries for $15. My go-to sim right now.
They don't get enough credit for the fact that all tracks are laser scanned. Non-Laser scanned tracks can also be made very well, like they are in R3E, but the feeling difference is tremendous if you compare them side by side. I was driving countless rounds at Bathurst in the past, but in ACC this track became really alive for the first time. Now certain real life racing lines are making much more sense, because of the bumps, this track gets so much more character, it's stunning The r3e version of bathurst feels now smoothed out like an ice rink xD
15 euros for 4 tracks and no new cars seems fair. The skins and driver names are just cosmetic adornments although they take time to create.
