App Offical release of Crew chief version 4 - auto updating and shiny

Hi!!
I'm running without "pop us", so when I'm practising or at qualy and depending on the circuit is sometimes hard to chek if your improving your sector times or not. So...I think it would be better if my crew chief can get me the sector time info related to my BEST time (always) and to the pole (ramdonly) , something about this "you're improving more than a tenth but half second slower to the pole" "one tenth better, keep pushing!" "give it up, four tenths slower, keep your tyres for the next lap"....etc etc
Could that be done?
And sorry if this has been comented before...

If Crewchief not running with the new Win10 1607 Update....download it, start installer and choose repair...works !...

 

I'm glad it worked for you, not for me unfortunately Even with the "repair" option Crew Chief remained broken by the 1607 build. Starting the app just played the pit sound but no "radio check", and I got no messages at all in-game. Rolling back to the 1511 build was the only way to get it working again. Guess no two systems are the same, luck of the draw huh...

 

1607 build is gonig to made me crazy...
Killed half of my software settings and drivers...

 

I won't update seeing all this mess with 1607 build. Hope you guys solve it !

Thanks for the tip, but I tried that as well...twice...didn't work either. But hey, I'm OK now on build 1511 with the 1607 update blocked so no worries

I am Brazilian, many phrases or words can not understand because of the language en-GB. Please, it would be possible to publish a satisfaction text file phrases or words that are spoken by spotter? So you could get a better hearing after the translation of what is spoken.

The only way i can start crew chief after the latest update from windows is with the following steps.
Go to the windows explorer and find the .exe file of crew-chief.
Start this with your admin account
This works for me.
When i put the .exe file on my desktop and try to start with the admin function it don't work for me

 

Put a shortcut on your desktop instead of a copy of the .exe.

The .exe expects to be among its accompanying files, so it doesn't work in isolation on the desktop.

 

I tried that Erik, but even than Crew Chief doesn't start.

 

FWIW, I've not had any problems with Crew Chief since installing the Windows 10 Anniversary update - R3E or AMS. Actually, no problems with the Win 10 update on my two home computers or the 5-6 computers I've updated at work so far (other than a couple simple app updates).

 

Oh wow, it's not starting for me either. Win 10 as well, dunno about build. I guess it's the one up-to-date.

 

When it fails to start, are there any errors in the windows event logs? The might be a .net error in the application log

Looks like it's barfing when loading the application settings. Have you tried deleting or moving the /users/[user name]/AppData/local/britton_it_ltd/CrewChiefV4/ folder? Should reset the app to default

 

I removed the whole folder in /local and the app loaded! Fantastic
