[Post race interview] I'd like to congratulate Team Underrated for a top to 1,2,3 qualifying effort. I'd like to thank my sponsors @Sector3, ESR, Oscaro, Chevy and Yokohama -- those tires allowed me to run a very long stint. Congrats to @Genghiz Kahn on the win in the second race! I had a good side-by-side battle with Ismail, @PresidentSmug, in the closing laps of race2, but kept blowing past the braking point in T2/T3/Tn and he was able to pass easily. Overall, the racing was good. Just remember it's more fun to race these things than watching [Brake problems] I thought my tires were going off at the end of race 2, but they were still yellow. I remembered (too late) an issue with small rear brake rotors failing when using too much rear brake bias. [From JF Chardon] https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...eries-bop-should-be-reworked.6002/#post-84751 Yes, this was being reported before. Is it a bug though? It's happening when the driver uses a brake balance very much to the rear. And the rear disk is 10mm thick. (front is 32mm) So when the player putting a lot of work on that small disk makes it heat, a lot. And in real life you should expect issues as well. But we understand this is viewed as a bug by many, I'm looking into fixing it now with Karsten and we'll reduce the wear of that disk. --------------
haha i love the post race interview Jason! Great race to everyone, was a lot of fun. We certainly have some things to fine tune, but we can talk about that next weekend, pre-race.
Sounds like Race two was fun. Disappointing I had to leave and go to work but cest la vie. Sadly the same thing will happen next weekend I have been so busy the past week I haven't had time to practice, when I did my controller profiles and drivers were all hosed up from a Windows update, so all my practice time was trying to get everything back to where I had it before...which wasn't easy Overall, I was pretty happy with my result, even though it was pretty poor.
In the post race discussion some of you said I was flashing in and out of view. Out here in Hawaii we have scetchy internet. I did a speed test. and my upload speed was faster than my download speed and varied wildly. We lovingly call it the price of paradise. Anyway I'm payng for 200mps and getting 12. I should have this sorted out with my internet provider by next week. And hopefully the issue will be resolved. The last couple of races my video sucked big time even tho I was running everything at the lowest settings and getting a consistant 60+fps most of the time. Fingers crossed.,
great races again. that reverse grid makes it very interesting, too. wow what a finish in race 2 @Öberg and @Andy Blade!
OK, I was just doing a single player practice race on Hockenhiem. And I have an on going problem with the pitstops on that track. In that nothing happens. I pull into the pits do all the right stuff, i,e, menu selections and confirmation. the car gets jacked up, and I sit there with nothing happening. Anybody else have this? Or is it just a Single player thing, or just me? This is one of my favorite tracks. But I can never play it with pitstops.
Which car and livery are you using and grid position if you remember? Trying to reproduce but haven't had luck. Also who was the person that had a problem pitting on red bull ring during the second race this weekend?
