Aye, but there might not be a 'sofa' stream until September, the new one is more a stream of an online event where they'll answer physics questions, if I understand correctly.

No major surprises in the screenshot from the 2015 teaser shot in the latest email, only the 'regular' cars shown. Having looked at recent entry lists though, although there are only 15 regular entrants using existing R3E cars, there are 3 or 4 part time entries that could take the number of skins to a more appropriate level without a Bentley being added.

 

So after the stream we can add new physics and tyre model to the list, plus downshift prevention.

 

And a Porsche ääääh ruf in GTR3...

Didn't get the downshift-prevention-thing... how will it work? isn't it just not possible to switch from 6th in second gear?

 

Right, the GT3 RUF, forgot that.

Real life downshift prevention (F1 f.e.) just ignores the drivers shift request if the revs are to high, he has to make another input to shift down at lower rpm's.
As Marko said, it's still being worked on and it hasn't been decided how to do it eventually but I think I'm safe to say that what we have been testing with works differently and that it's an effective system that already works pretty well.

 

hm, i would definitely like such a prevention-system in competitions, Leaderboard-challenge and in general sessions where Damage is off. But when Damage is on such a Shifting-behavior would end in broken gears and I think it isn't really needed...

For me it would be ok that downshifting with jumping over gears isn't allowed in general, too.

 

Also the Corvette and the GT-R will be joining GTR3.

Also said in the stream,

- New GT3 physics will make the GT3 cars a bit slower in high speed corners.
- All the GT3 leaderboards will be cleared when the new physics will be implemented.
- Setup options have been altered. One known thing now is that the gearing for the Audi R8 will be correct to the real car. (edit: and locked as Christian notes below)

 

I'm afraid that it will have to be a system that works for all occasions, we have it or we don't.
And ignoring shift requests is useful with sequential gearboxes, but as it will have to work with regular gearboxes as well (like in all the classic cars, h-shifters) that isn't really an option.

 

And locked, no changing of the individual gear ratios, just like irl.

hm, I know that a RT12-based model for Raceroom already exist. I've seen it at an ADAC GT-Masters race in one of the mobile "Racerooms".

yeah, the RUF RT12 is in game.... but is in Class GT2 (H-Shift). The only RUF in Class GT3 is the RGT-based model, as i know (Race trim)?!?

 

No - I don't mean the GT2-Version... it was a GT3-Version for GT-Masters with the original ADAC GTM-Liveries... but it is only available on a mobile raceroom-booth...
