so it seems this topic has also been discussed in this thread by @Sberns : https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/shared-memory-api.1525/page-21#post-154146 the wobble i experience feels pretty similar to what the graph below shows (for whole video see thread above). I finally managed to kind of dial the effect out through "smoothing" added to the surge axis: Maybe less also works, but this now feels a lot less shaky when upshifting...
i was thinking about this the other day and to why you only feel it in R3e , and i made a note to talk to one of the devs to wether this would cause it (i thoughtit may be the transmission flex , as im not sure if other titles model this , or how they model it ) but im glad you have found a solution Andi
only still wonder if the nice guy who wrote the plugin to make R3E work with simtools maybe uses a wrong value or if there is nothing he can do differently. Looks like the transmission flex is highly "over-emphasized" .
When using my rig, I run both Simcommander 4 (SimX) for 3DOF motion and Simtools v2 for my DIY Gseat. Unfortunately the shift wobble exists in both so I don’t think there’s an error in the Simtools plugin. To me I would guess that it’s more likely on the R3E side.
