Good news for all triple screen users!

We are adding several new features to improve our multi-monitor rendering.

    Multiview
An option that allows for independent rendering of each individual screen, rather than stretching one image across multiple monitors.
This will eliminate any kind of image distortion.

    Bezel correction
This will create a seamless transition across all screens by compensating the area hidden by your monitor bezels.

    Angle correction
An option that corrects the view depending on the physical angle of your triple screen setup.

The feature is currently being tested and we are planning to release a first iteration of it in the next patch.

Go here for detailed instructions on how to set it up: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/how-to-setup-triple-screens.9711/

Mmmmm... sounds like the silence is being justified.

Looking forward to the multi-monitor support! My 2nd monitor has been useful for race info, but I'll happily get hyped for it to become part of my cockpit! :D

Finally! Hope soon it will get UI implementation. With working [middleScreenDistanceToPlayerEyes] parameter multiview should looks much better than in PCARS2 (still bugged).

How's performance wise with 3 independent screens guys?

ps please don't forget ab. mirrors FOV and positioning!

Great thing! Some questions pop up though...

I guess these values are in centimeter?

If the side screens have less height than the center screen, is the correct vertical aligment at center?

Does the exact position/distance input make the FOV input obsolete?

    1. Yes, cm.
    2. Yes, as you can see in the preview image.
    3. To start with, the correct FOV is being determined by the values mentioned above, but we plan to have an adjustment option, to allow you to tweak the FOV (as well as eye level) to your preference.

I've been off of simracing for a while and while I only use single screen, I'm happy to see this support finally out. I know many people asked for this for a long time now. Good job!

    Now where's that Gr.A physics update? :D

Have you measured the performance impact with multiview enabled?
    Is there performance loss?

A performance loss is to be expected when rendering 3 different images at the same time.
But from what i have seen so far it's within an acceptable range.

So yes ofc, you have a performance loss but it’s in an acceptable way and it’s just logic ;)

Here you have an compare picture about the difference between non triple and triple support. The frame on the right caused because of an bezel.
I run my setup in 3x32tv

Yes, i understand frame on the right. Triple-screen pictures needs bezel correction.

A fps counter would be fantastic in both pictures. Thanks for the info.

My FPS are >stable< in both versions, I just had an FPS loss after the new Win10 update and when I run my r3e in windowed mode, but that’s not related to triple or non triple.
My system-specs are in my signature.

Forgive my ignorance, but does it work with two monitors?
