Hey fellas,

Anyone want to help test the next version? It's got some experimental functionality for some tracks (Spa, Silverstone National, Brands, Bathurst, Hockenheim GP and Spielberg GP, Monza, Zolder, Zandvoort) and a few other bits and bobs.

If you want to try it you need the installer:
http://crewchief.isnais.de/CrewChiefV4.6.2.8.msi

and the new sounds:
http://crewchief.isnais.de/update_sound_pack_108.zip

You need to drop the new sounds from this update zip to your Appdata, for me it is:
c:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\

This isn't an official auto-updating release (yet) because it's only a test version but it should work properly - there are more tracks to add and more refining of the various rules to do, so I'd appreciate feedback as always

 

Also, note that I've not tested this release in online races, so online testing is particularly helpful but be aware that it might do weird things

I think it would be great to see "Marcus" in the driver names list. Keep up the good work, I can't imagine driving without the crew chief ever again. He brings so much life into our beloved sims.

 

I have been playing R3E for 2 days now and was totally immersed in the game, until I researched and found this application. Now, I am blown away. Made an account here to congratulate all the developers on the Crew Chief project and of course donated to you guys. I am a beginner developer and I completely understand what it takes to develop an application like this one. Many congratulations to you for this software and hope you can keep it alive in the future and expand it as you like. Cheers.

 

Yes, truly an incredible application. I was losing concentration in my past 30 minute race and getting sloppy, wouldn't you know it Crew Chief comes chiming in telling me to "focus" at the perfect time! I laughed to myself and started banging out good laps again. Pretty cool indeed
