Quotes from 2015 F1 GP races:

"Peter Bonnington to Lewis Hamilton: We were front-left limited on the last stint, so we need to look after that now, 30 laps remaining."

"Tony Ross to Nico Rosberg: Six laps remaining, we can still do something here."

"Valtteri Bottas to Jonathan Eddolls: How many laps to go?
Jonathan Eddolls to Valtteri Bottas: Three."

"Riccardo Adami to Sebastian Vettel: OK good, he is saying that it is impossible to pass you. That’s good. Keep going like that. Keep your head down. Six laps to go."

"Tony Ross to Nico Rosberg: 21 laps remaining. Vettel has stopped again also on [hard] tyres, he is at least ten seconds behind..."

"Peter Bonnington to Lewis Hamilton: So Nico 29.5, 11 laps remaining."

"Dave Robson to Felipe Massa: Nine more laps to go."

"Lewis Hamilton to Peter Bonnington: How many laps?
Peter Bonnington to Lewis Hamilton: Seven remaining."

"Kimi Raikkonen to David Greenwood: How many laps we have?
David Greenwood to Kimi Raikkonen: Six after this, Kimi."

"Simon Rennie to Daniel Ricciardo: Six laps to go. Bottas is starting to do a lot of defending to Vettel."

    Those bloody F1 amateurs. ;)

But, at this time R3E race are time based and not lap number based (DTM Exp is lap number based if I'm not mistaken)
A " X lap to go" message is not possible, but maybe a " 5 min to go" etc can be usefull. Or a simple "Last lap" when time's off.

How can I disable informations that I don't want?

Example: I don't want to hear the lap times

I took a look in the config file but I'm not sure what values I need to modify.

    Thank you

I really like the spotter, awesome job!
But I mostly get an open walkie talkie line crackle for the most parts of the races, always some other car next door.. . :)

Found a daft bug in the spotter code last night, and am reworking the gaps and push-now events so they're a bit smarter when drivers leave the race.

I've also removed pearls of wisdom from qual events and added the option to disable laptime reading.

And some other stuff - just general fixes and sorting out. Proper ui and things still to be done. Will test and release later today I think

Sry guys, but I don't understand what this app is about. Does it help to communicate with your team? But how does this work. I would be happy if s.o. can explain it to me.

It communicates with you. Information regarding position, lap times, penalties much much much more. I think the latest version will be in the opening post. Download, run the exe file before you launch raceroom.

I'm sure Mr.Belowski will explain in more detail.

you run it, then start RaceRoom (leaving this app running in the background) and it monitors some data that RaceRoom produces as you drive - stuff like car damage, gaps in front & behind, pit window open / close times etc. Based on this information it plays sound files.

Basically it acts like a race engineer telling you useful stuff over the radio.

I'm about to update it actually - in the next 10 mins there should be a new version :)

Righty, 1.9.5 is now out, same download as before

For those that want to know, under the hood the app is quite simple. RaceRoom writes data to a shared memory location - think of it as a file. This is updated 400 times per second and includes lots of info about what's happening on track and to the player's car.

All my app does it read this info and make some guesses about what the player might want to know. For example, when he crosses the start line in qualifying I use the laptime, the position, and the gap to the pole position time to generate a sound that says something like "that was a 1:32.2, you're in 5th, you're 1.2 seconds off the pace"

    Thanks fella :)

I noticed a small bug - one of the events spams the command window with 'checking gap' messages - shouldn't cause issues but I'll fix it for the next build
