Been watching British GT and Euro GT4 champs on Youtube. Great stuff. I like the the mixed GT3/GT4 classes in British GT. McLaren, Nissan, X-Bow and BMW GT4's for Raceroom? Yes, please! Release 'em all as a pack with a British GT skinpack.
Yeah...i have absolutely no vested interest in Toyota, but tough to see this happen after last year...poor SOBs!
The FIA app is pretty good for live timing/positions https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netcosports.andwec
Yes, I feel bad for them. Well, if Porsche #1 should fail as well, Rebellion could reach a total victory in Le Mans in lmp2, which they missed in lmp1 by far. Just a possibility.
Well im a Porsche lover as u already know but im feeling so sorry for Toyota.. again so much bad luck ... poor Guys "Fingers crossed for Porsche - GO Guys !! u can do it again "
The #2 Porsche is only 4 laps away from total second place, so I'm thinking with the time left maybe they could climb to second place passing the top lmp2? I haven't done the math. It's definitely unpleasant to see the faces of the Toyota team, and they've had some bad luck, but this race is about endurance and 2 out of their 3 cars failed because of mechanical failures, including the leader. Only one was because of impact. So bad luck is only part of this. These cars are getting more and more extreme in demands and rely on more advanced electrical systems compared to regular petrol cars, hence more things to go wrong.
I actually have a hard time feeling sorry for Toyota this time around, it's been their race to loose. They brought 3 cars, they were fast as a bolt out of hell, Porsche has not had it's finest day, and they're still not managing. I guess we'll see next year with the privateer LMP1 teams returning but at this stage I kinda feel like they should just rebrand the LMP2s and make the WEC a champions league between IMSA and ELMS because quite frankly, no LMP1 feels deserving of the overall win. GT is yet again proving to be the most interesting class at Le Mans. Close racing, and visually and acoustically interesting line-up.
Leading Porsche out. Still a small chance that Porsche #2 can get on the podium. But they will have to push real hard to catch up +4 laps... What a scenario...
