Wow, yesterday i had an endurance race and was very suprised about the messages when there was an accident somewhere and even the corner name was named.
I did an little donation (i think to little because my name isn't in the program) for my name (Jos, say it as joshua without shua in combinatie with Cocos without coc)
But this week i do some more for your chips and the great app
But i wil sent something more

 

more name recordings to come, but I've been flat out adding and fixing functionality recently. There's a new test build if anyone wants to try - it uses the new corner name recordings from the 110 sound pack update that rolled out to all users today, so doesn't need any manual sound pack installation

Great great great app. I really like to add my leagues driver names but i can't make it work. When i want to add the names i follow the instructions in de zip file called voice build but everytime i try there is a error.

I really like to see my name added in the next update> Kai

if you go to C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\ there's a driver_names folder. Add your new driver name recordings here as .wav files (22KHz mono), using sensible names (like britton.wav). This folder also includes a text file names.txt. This is where you map the sound file name (without the .wav) to the driver name as it appears in-game - e.g.

super_99_jim_britton:britton

Do i still have to work with balcon and sox or can i skip these 2 programs? In python i get the error.

Auto commentate is an interesting idea but it would mean starting from scratch - it could use some of the same app infrastructure but the logic and message sets would all have to devised.

Well I'm Jim so my crew chief can't be called Jim as well. He needs to remember who's paying his wages!

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. We're planning to release tonight so if there's anything else that's not right, now would be a good time to shout about it

 

updated to the latest beta and did some timed races the last cpls of days
when you check (extra lap) the crew chief will give you the "last lap" message when the session time expires.
But since I checked the "extra lap" setting, I need to an extra lap.
So the message triggers one lap early. (probably because the extra lap info is not in the shared memory block?)
Thought I let you know.

unfortunately there's no way of detecting if that's selected at the moment. I'll ask J-F if they can add that to the shared memory

WOW, I would love to help. BUT, I wouldn't know where to start. I have no knowledge in this type of thing. I am a digital sculptor by trade with a good mind. If there is anything I can help with I am open to it. But what is there to do?
