Well then... Ill have to give this a try ASAP !! Edit : Well that didn't work. I did net user administrator /active:yes to enable the hidden Admin account in 8.1 Logged out and logged in as the new admin. Windows did its setup. Then i tried to Run the Dedicated .exe as admin and i get the same thing ( no ping on server and No response from server after car selection and password entered) Ill give it a go on my windows 7 machine. I removed the password - Esr#3 test If anyone wants to give it a go in the next 8 hours or so.
I tried to join your server and it works i think, but i don´t have this car yet. So maybe you can create it with an other class. The ping is very high. 195ms
Did a quick check of your server and entered game very quickly, all seems fine. Ping is rather high though! Been having same prob with my dedi server, Sector3 did say you may not be able to enter your own server but kinda defeats the object surely! Hope its possible to fix else we'll have to set up a server buddy system and host each others!
I´ve found the solution for my problem. Just open steam as administrator. Now the server starts quite nicely. Hope this will fix some problems of other users, too.
Ha Ha Ha, just logged in to say I started Dedi server as Admin and all is well servers up and I can get in!
So you were able to login and get the game started after you selected the car ? That's a pretty big step if that worked. Ok i can confirm it worked. I connected my main pc to the Neighbours wireless and i could finally see a ping and connect. WOUHOUU !! Thanks @Gallow24 to have found that. @GooseCreature Were you able to join your own server ??
I finding that when I go into one during practice or quali, it will tell the that it's the end of session when it's not...
It is essential for leagues that some kind of results file is generated on the server, it's pointless racing if you have no results.
I dont feel it is pointsless racing in leagues if you have no timesheet etc.. Been doing it for years in granturismo without.. But it sure would be welcomed
You have at least a rudimentary client-side log file. You can find it here: <drive>:\Users\<your name>\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\Log\Results But it contains only some Information and drivers who leaved the race before end aren't listed here but it is better than a screenshot. I hope we will get better and server-side log files soon.
Joined yesterday a RRRE Server (DTM2014E) and did some Laps. While another Driver joined the Server, i got massive stutter and Lags.
Yesterday we had some trouble with the DS, because the switching to next session doesn't happen. We just stuck in practice session. Sadly the Dedicated Server actually do not support a manually session change. I had to turn off the DS and try again. I have to admit, that this join-lag is quite bad and really annoying. If this happens while you're in a chicane or corner, you can write off your fast lap.
I had the same with a server of mine on Monday but we got stuck in Qualifying. I said 'end of session' for 4 minutes until I turned the server off.
