If you had a dollar for every crash/pileup at Lisboa over the years......:eek::eek: :confused::po_O:(:cool:;):)
About the Melco hairpin...set the steering lock to 30, if necessary, give a slight turn to the left, then turn right for the hairpin. Easy as cake.

If the AI can't cope with the hairpin how will online players with no common sense stand a chance?

Admittedly, it was optimistic given that some find a way to crash straight off the start line.

As much as I love Macau I'll be waiting for the inevitable WTCC 2014 trackpack.

Great version and fun to race.

But the AI is too fast or has too much traction accelerating downhill right after the hairpin. I am faster all around the track. But after the hairpin the AI seems to press the boost button (tested with WTCC 14 cars) and rockets away. At first I thought it may be because of auto clutch kicking in due to low revs at that point (1st gear). But manual clutch didn't change anything.

It's really a problem because I am not able to catch the AI on the following straight. And that is the only realistic overtaking possibility.

At what Ai strength you are playing, all fine for me at 117/8...

    Somewhere between 100 and 110.
Even if I try to fall back a bit before the hairpin (because the AI slows down too much) to be earlier on the gas and carry more speed out of it, I just can't keep up with the AI.

I recommend short shifting in this passage, works very well for me...

Well, done a fair few laps now, mainly WTCC 2014, a few in a couple GT's and WOW, great job team, just so soddin exhilarating, agree wholeheartedly with the rhythm thang, metronomic. Never been a favourite of mine in the past so can't believe how much fun it is to drive, MP is hilarious! :D
Just one small problem and one long running hangup, I also get the odd freeze frame, not too sure if in same place as reported but will check when next in and the old invisible car syndrome got me whilst flat out on the straight, took me right out! Nothing worse than chuffin it down the straight, car behind on mini map but nowt in mirrors, just know it's gonna end in tears!:coldsweat:

The hairpin is a serious problem for the AI. They just keep getting tangled up on the barrier at the apex so it's almost undriveable in single player imo.

Apart from that, top notch job and great fps for such a detailed track.

It's a serious problem full stop. Single monitor it's guess work. For me any way.

Such a brilliant job on the circuit, and it's a a great challenge, but the hairpin kills it for me atm.

Agreed. It's the kind of corner made for Occulus Rift/look-to-apex. Very tricky to judge on a single screen.

interestingly, i dont seem to have a problem with it (beyond the typical hairpin problems), but i just drove a mod macau in AC and couldnt figure it out for the life of me. so if thats what you guys have going on, i can at least assure you its not a square peg in a round hole thing, there is a nice clean line i just seem to have found it by luck.
