Heyho, the car looks and drives very nice and sound is 100 times better then PC2 for example but there's somethin I really don't like about the onboard sound. Especially at high revs and when you lift of the gas the engine sounds like a mixture of a whisle and a laser canon. It's just not like the real thing. That was already discussed when S3 released a video of the Cup car. There you can hear it too. Also as somebody mentioned in the stream yesterday: Everytime you shift up or down the engine/transmission sound cuts off and then progresses again while in reality it doesn't cut off and just increases/decreases intensity of the sound. I'm refering to lots of onboards watched on youtube and television. For example that one again: The quality isn't that bad and it's enough to compare with R3E sound. There's a big difference where as for example the new Audi is 100% spot on. For the Audi you can't tell if you're watching TV or racing R3E while with the Porsche I have the feeling that there's something wrong all the time. @Anthony Monteil
I agree with the sound. Also, why isn't there safety netting inside the cockpit like in real life. Seems like all the new GT3 models in Raceroom have it. But the most important thing, the car is simply a pleasure to drive. Great job!
Kudos to sector3 for these 3 cars. For the sound of the GT3-R: in my opinion it's mostly spot on with the youtube onboardsound posted above. only downshifting is weird. but everything else is really close.
I did quite a few laps on the Nordschleife now with this car and I have to say: The gear ratio is completely off. Not even close to the real thing! Otherwise it feels great and definitely has the best sound of any sim. But still not perfect.
after reading some complaints about the sound I come to the conclusion that many people seem to mistaken the GT3-R with the 911 RSR
how do you come to this conclusion? care to elaborate? because i think they used the real life ratios. I want to know because the gears seem shorter than from the others, but on the other hand the Ferrari 488 GT3 and Nissan GTR GT3 also have very different ratios than the rest in real life.
