Bring on dirty cars. 4 Laps on Nordschleife an the cars still look like out of the box. And dirty front windows. It was possible on older games. Why not now? Fix small issues (e.g. non vibrating whiper on the Corvette). Some small details which can be fixed quick. And bring on real looking dash bords inside the cockpits!
I really miss having working wipers and dirt build-up on screen as per RACE 07. Little details, but it all adds to the immersion. Also how about being able to turn the headlights off? A. It's just a texture and B. the headlights are off when the engine is shut down (when parked in the pits) so the functionality is there already.
They could add game features which we all are missing a lot, more than adding content. (or do both ) Race lenght by laps, better multiplayer control panel, tyre pressure, fix some sick cutting track limits...... Or even I want set offline race lenght by minutes, I cannot choose my own number. I have preset numbers to choose. Please make it more "free" for users.
The AI could also do with some attention, it seemed better before recent patches, although my bad driving probably doesn't help it...

True but I usually don't like these "free view" systems much also another toy to install calibrate, finetune and getting mad when it doesn't work correctly, nah ! Look-to-Apex ist the most simple solution and easy to implement. Next step would be Occulus Rift but then I would like to have a high-end wheel by Fanatec with various rims, a latest generation PC, various simracing toys, Motion Seat... And last not least the alchemistic formula to make gold... Where does that end ?
Lol I can relate, but I think I have found the "where does that end" for me personally, to where I spend 2 minutes starting up accessories x, y, and z, all previously calibrated, then race without issue 99% of time. It took a few months to get there though. To me, the tracker is worth it for the initial setup, and then just works from then on, but I can certainly understand just wanting to hop in and race without dealing with such things.
Set the time to 20 mins? Say two laps @ 8.30=17mins, 3 mins left for the 3rd which will be the final lap as time will be up.
Just hop in isn't anymore - regarding my league races at VR there is Crew Chief, Teamspeak, an application for recording lap records on their server, autopilot, navigation system, HUD with lock-up system to fire a Hellfire at opponents who dare to overtake me incl. friendly fire & collision warning, oxygen mask, six fans for races during summertime, a shiny metal box with a lotta colored gizmos (dunno what it is for actually), a black box if I have an accident far off, back-up generator, back-up PC...well, ya know ?
LOL, i rarely ever race the ai, just going by server times online And then you have to ask why they can online and offline cant?
would be nice if they ever fleshed out technical features such as multi-gpu, triple screen support, flag rules, weather, laps, etc instead of just cranking out new content.
Lol. Amen on the six fans. My current 6" clip fan is not cutting it, May need to replace it with my mega floor mounted pivoting fan I used for band gigs. If you strapped it to a wing, it would generate enough thrust for take off on the high setting. I would have already made the swap if the 6" clip on didn't look cooler in my racing rig. Don't want some big fan breaking the immersion - in the meantime Ill just short out my rig from sweat, but at least it looks realistic (for a bus driver anyway). But yeah, gotta have my fan.
I've been waiting two years to be able to set race distance by laps, something which has (kind of) been present in the DTM Experience mode since the beginning. The WTCC licence is flagship content for R3E, a series which runs...wait for it...race distance by laps! So why are we still waiting for stuff like this? It's maddening really. Something like triple screen support should have been nailed long ago, no excuses.
I hope for some formula 1 style action. I'm currently on a break (my wheel don't work, that's why) and when I will get back once some new exciting content gets released
